Here is another image from the shoot with Becca, this one took around 5 hours of editing to produce! It really contrasts against the happy glamour shot I posted of her yesterday!
About the Photo
*Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS *Lens: EF 50mm ƒ/1.8 II *Shutter Speed: 1/200 Sec. *Aperture Value: ƒ/5.6 *ISO: 100 *Focal Length: 50mm (80mm Equivalent on 35mm Film)
I shot this on a tripod using mirror lockup and a remote switch. To the left of the camera I had a Canon Speedlite 430EX II at full power and at 24mm being shot into a 60" Westcott reflective umbrella around 6 feet away from the model as the key light. To the right of the model I had a Vivitar flash at full power pointed directly at her around 15 feet away from the model. The Speedlite was triggered by a Canon ST-E2 wireless Speedlite transmitter and the Vivitar was triggered optically.
As usual I edited the image as a 16 bit TIFF I added a lot of selective mid tone contrast enhancements and changed the shape of some things to aid with the direction of the image. I added bright 105mm prime lens flare to the image in the model's hands and used a mask to remove some light around the fingers to give the impression that she's holding them. I made the eye appear red to add to the image. Of course, at the end of the editing I saved as a sRGB JPEG for internet display.

The 47th FS is unique in that it has maintained a tradition of naming aircraft after character's from Al Capp's "Li'l Abner" comics since WWII. Being unfamiliar with the comics, I looked up Eagle Eye Fleegle. Apparently he's some tiny little New York wiseguy-type who can shoot some sort of death-ray from his eyes. Apparently he calls this death-ray a 'whammy.' According to one write-up I found, 'a double whammy can make the stone head of Teddy Roosevelt on mount Rushmore weep."*
Pretty sure one burst of 30mm fire from the 'Hawg's GAU-8 cannon would have the same effect.

Die Originalaufnahme ist nun fast 3 Jahre alt.
Inzwischen haben sich meine technischen Möglichkeiten, als auch das Know How stark erweitert (Lightroom, PS, Texturen, etc.)

So I've had a fascination recently with the evil eye. A youtube channel I follow called ContraPoints did a video about envy, and a section of it was about the evil eye and what it means. I've always liked the aesthetics of it, but now it's even cooler because I know what it's for.
I made this dress to be inspired by the ContraPoints video. You can't really see it in this photo, but the blue ruffle on the side says "DIE MAD".

Unfortunately it had jumped up and started to move. These ones, at rest, look evil. They spread their legs out, all slightly curved forward, and seem to flatten themselves right down on the surface. That's when they look evil. This just looks like another spider...
Uhhh not sure about this one.
The wings need to be lowered 1/2 to 1 plate height. There's space for a minifig so an interior needs to be done.
