The aluminum seat tube of my fixed gear bike had long ago seized inside of the steel frame. It had begun to squeak with every pedal stroke as if bemoaning its captivity. My efforts to remove this seat post spanned two weeks and offer lessons to others facing a similar situation.
I sawed off a chunk of dry ice that would slip into the tube area and thus cool from the inside as well. All I got was some cool looking smoke.
