Everything is Museum

For the Everything is Museum exhibition in the Sackler Center for Arts Education (in the basement of the Guggenheim), people could send in their own ideas for a museum. I was particularly amused by the “museum of regular people” which had regular people sitting around the museum, and you could ask them questions (like you always want to at the subway, but never dare to). It had drawings of the different people and the stuff they brought with them.

I decided I wanted a new living room furniture, but everything I loved was super expensive. So I printed out some graph paper off the internet and put my obsessive mind to work. After I designed them, I then went and bought 2x4's, sheets of mdf board, high density foam, upholstery fabric, polyester batting, and a whole lotta screws and staples. Both at the hardcware store and the Fabric store people thought I was crazy. Then mark and I built them. Each piece took a whole day and were an intense amount of labor, but they are just what we wanted and sooo comfortable!
