Dunky makes me laugh when he shakes himself out, he starts by winding his tail up and then the rest of the body follows with the shake rattle and roll...LOL! :-)
That I noticed every chance
that I could have passed without notice
I saw details that to all were veiled.
And I grabbed those chances, carried them home
and then I’ll have had it with roaming
I came to this world with nothing
and I leave with nothing but love
everything else is just borrowed - By Mike Skinner

Zenobius - Zafeirios Valvis (1800-1886), 2 times prime minister of Greece in 1863 and 1864, from Messolongi town.
He died very poor, refusing to accept the slightest allowance from the state in order not to burden the state budget.
Guess what. He’s not the one on the stamp above.

The store fronts along Penn are endlessly interesting. In this scene I liked the palette of blues and greens amidst the range of orange, red, and yellow, and the sort of but not really symmetric layout of doors, porticoes, and boarded-up windows. While everything else is slightly off-balance, the orange cone in the foreground is dead center. Later I noticed that one of the graffitis says "LOST."

I was drawn to this flower because the petals seem almost iridescent.
I went to the Stevens-Coolidge Place in N Andover Massachusetts today. It's a public garden and historic house.
From the official website:
'Formerly known as Ashdale Farm, the Stevens-Coolidge Place was the summer home of John Gardner Coolidge and Helen Stevens Coolidge from 1914 to 1962. Mr. Coolidge, a descendant of Thomas Jefferson and nephew of Isabella Stewart Gardner, was a diplomat. Helen Coolidge devoted herself to preserving and improving Ashdale Farm, which her family had first acquired in 1729 and subsequently farmed for six generations. With her husband's support, she transformed the farm into an elegant agricultural estate that exemplified the gracious country living enjoyed then by wealthy Bostonians.'
This Burlington Coat Factory closed down last week after 30 years. The building is currently undergoing an asbestos abatement.
This building originally housed a Woolco department store. A photo of this store's grand opening in 1969 can be seen at the following link:

Meet me on the equinox
Meet me halfway
The sun is perched at its highest peak
In the middle of the day
Let me give my love to you
Let me take your hand
And as we walk in the dimming light
Oh darling understand
That everything
Everything ends
That everything
Everything ends
Meet me on your best behavior
Meet me at your worst
For there will be no stone unturned
Or bubble left to burst
Let me lay beside you darling
Let me be your man
And let our bodies intertwine
But always understand
That everything
Everything ends
That everything
Everything ends
That everything
Everything
Everything ends
A window
An open tomb
The sun crawls across your bedroom
A halo
A waning moon
Your last breath moving through you
As everything, everything ends
As everything, everything ends
As everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything ends
Meet me on the equinox
Meet me halfway
The sun is perched at its highest peak
In the middle of the day
And let me give my love to you
Let me take your hand
And as we walk in the dimming light
Oh darling understand
That everything
Everything ends
Meet me on the Equinox by
Death Cab for Cutie
Give me a reason
To end this discussion
To break with tradition
To fold and divide
'Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes
Talking with strangers, waiting in line
I'm through with these pills that make me sit still
Are you feeling fine?
(Yes, I feel just fine)
Tell me that you're alright
"Yeah, everything is alright"
Oh, please tell me that you're alright
"Yeah, everything is alright"
