For an assignment as University I had to create two images for a poster campaign of my choice. I chose to do two posters for The Every Day Sexism Project.

If you've not heard of it, you really should visit their Twitter feed or their website:

Every year the Bible Class climbs a hill before the Easter service. At the top of the hill there is an Easter egg competition followed by a brief Easter Bible reading and prayer. These are our entries for the decorate an egg competition.

Daughter number three's egg is on the right and it was in the top five. Mine is on the left and was in the top three (but was disqualified because technically I am not a member of the Bible Class). Daughter number two's is in the middle and came second. We were therefore fairly pleased at how well we did. :-)

Every time when I am in Hannover, I visit this church. Glad that it is open every day :)

I chose my words carefully - this is every episode, not every video. Although I think, at some stage, before I stopped being an uber fan, I did have *every* UK released Star Trek video...

Every year, thousands of Redbird fans come out to see the spectacular parade floats that make their way down University Avenue. Gamma Phi, Big Red Marching Machine, Illinois State student organizations, high school bands, local dance troupes, and countless others march in the parade. View more photos at IllinoisStateHomecoming.

Every year, the Oswego Heritage Council proudly presents the Annual Collector Car & Classic Boat Show. What started out as a handful of local classic cars on display in Millennium Plaza has expanded to a huge show with cars and boats from all over the area. The show now draws thousands of people over two days and has expanded from one park to three Lake Oswego venues, with free shuttles provided between the venues.

Over the years I have stood on top of everything featured in todays photos

Every July, Les Roches attracts curious, talented, entrepreneurial young people from all corners of the globe who want to discover the world of hospitality from one of the world’s top-ranking Swiss hospitality schools.

The best way to learn about hospitality is by doing it. So our aim is to introduce you to the different areas of hospitality through both an experiential and theory-based program, to see if a career in this dynamic, opportunity-rich sector is for you.

Obviously ensuring you get some serious outdoor time in the Alps whilst you are at it.

Every day I see this guy in the news or whatever, I want to spike a baby...

save it - save us - save the world

Just testing some lights... I like the result, but I hated the Flickr's treatment once more, and you? So sharp. This kind of feature is really upset me, I see one thing in my PS and another here. :(

Sucker love is heaven sent.

You pucker up, our passion's spent.

My hearts a tart, your body's rent.

My body's broken, yours is bent.

Carve your name into my arm.

Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed.

Cuz there's nothing else to do,

Every me and every you.

Sucker love, a box I choose.

No other box I choose to use.

Another love I would abuse,

No circumstances could excuse.

In the shape of things to come.

Too much poison come undone.

Cuz there's nothing else to do,

Every me and every you.

Every me and every you,

Every Me...he

Sucker love is known to swing.

Prone to cling and waste these things.

Pucker up for heavens sake.

There's never been so much at stake.

I serve my head up on a plate.

It's only comfort, calling late.

Cuz there's nothing else to do,

Every me and every you.

Every me and every you,

Every Me...he

Every me and every you,

Every Me...he

Like the naked leads the blind.

I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.

Sucker love I always find,

Someone to bruise and leave behind.

All alone in space and time.

There's nothing here but what here's mine.

Something borrowed, something blue.

Every me and every you.

Every me and every you,

Every Me...he

Every me and every you,

Every Me...he

Clara Tate is the next door neighbor girl (as my mother would have described her) who I played with almost every day when I was preschool. After I started to school I don't remember playing with Clara and her sister Sadie much. They were now much too old for younger boys.

Recently Clara sent me these photographs from her Aransas Pass, Texas Grade School years with the names of the everyone she could remember written on the backs. Being very close to eighty years old, I misplaced them and became focused on some other project and am just now getting around to posting them and creating an Aransas Pass Experience set of photos.

Having gone through the third grade in Aransas Pass I can only say it was an absolutely marvelous place to spend a childhood. Better even than Hannibal, Missouri as far as I'm concerned. Sinton, where we moved when we left Aransas Pass was not all that exciting, as I recall.

I'm posting the original scan so you can have some idea of the aging and condition of the photographs. I converted them back to black and white and sharpened the images considerably. You'll want to look at all of these in the original scan size. To do this click on the small photo (thumbnail), when the larger image comes up, look just above it and click on "all sized" then on "original" and you'll be seeing the photograph at it's original size or larger.

My dad laughs and laughs every time he sees this because of the morose expression on my uncle, the sad little kid in the front.

The first kid in the back row is Uncle Maurice. Below him is my father, who was apparently being romantically persued by Patricia Butler, the girl beside him. He was physically distancing himself and holding his arms in to avoid her affections, and teasing from his brothers for being irresistable to young women. In the front row are my Aunt Claire, Aunt Dianne, and sad Uncle Earl. The boy farthest to the right is Uncle Brad. The other kids, Patricia's brothers and sisters, were vacationing from the US.

Best On Black

I was trying to undertake a site visit yesterday, up at a farm near Halifax. This was thwarted somewhat though, by the dense fog that masked all the things I needed to see.....

Ho Hummm.......

it did have some compensations though.......and maybe I should focus on those things a bit more in my life !

Girls For Freedom - The Girls of Trilokpuri Lead. The Project is located inTrilokpuri. Every person in this project is a girl, born and brought up in Trilokpuri and, continue to live here. Our fight for life and liberty started from here and we continue to fight without any help from anyone. 7 Years - Sustaining Initiatives that can be replicated anywhere in the world, effectively. Addressing the key issues of gender violence and women’s empowerment – albeit in a very small way, we facilitate, motivate, counsel and guide young girls and young adults to aspire and achieve their goals with less of confrontation, greater solidarity and improved work skills translating to economic independence. The PURPOSE - mainstream Women & Children, NOW to secure social, economic, academic & political justice; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; Equality: of political representation, intellectual expression, employment opportunities, professional and social status.

Among the few initiatives in this world where a development initiative that stands alone

a.Donations and every support reach the target beneficiaries directly.

b.No executives or, executive costs.

c.No maintenance of infrastructure costs

d.The organisation is run by the target beneficiaries, for the target beneficiaries minus any external influence or promptings

The project works to empower and extend support to the child mothers/single/divorced/separated mothers of Trilokpuri who are deprived, excluded and without a place they can call their own. The greatest support that we extend to them is providing them with a Day Creche for their children along with one meal. Extras are at the cost of the parent. This gives these child mothers the freedom to complete the necessary professional activities to achieve some form of independent livelihood.

3. This project is needed because any resident in this 10 sq. kilometers covering Trilokpuri, Chilla Village, Khichripur, Ashok Nagar, Kalyanpuri stand deprived of their basic RIGHTS from the time of inception of these resettlement colonies - 20 square yard plots minus any toilet facilities and that, official policy decision which makes it from 1976, 42 years of substandard toilet systems, public toilets and degraded environments unfit for human habitation. What can you expect from the children and childbrides that we are creating in large numbers with each passing day.

4. I am a resident of this area for over 36 years and have been excluded all my life despite an ongoing fight over the past 20 years.

5. The seed grant is to help us overcome certain immediate requirement of purchases relating to utensils, furniture, raw material, stationery.

The Miracle

Every drop of rain that falls in Sahara Desert says it all

It's a miracle

All God's creations great and small

The Golden Gate and the Taj Mahal

That's a miracle

Test tube babies being born

Mothers,fathers dead and gone

It's a miracle

We're having a miracle on earth

Mother nature does it all for us

The wonders of this world go on

The hanging Gardens of Babylon

Captain Cook and Cain and Able

Jimi Hendrix to the Tower of Babel

It's a miracle it's a miracle it's a miracle

It's a miracle

The one thing we're all waiting for is peace on earth - an end to war

It's a miracle we need - the miracle

The miracle we're all waiting for today

If every leaf on every tree could tell a story that would be a miracle

If every child on every street had clothes to wear and food to eat

That's a miracle

If all God's people could be free to live in perfect harmony

It's a miracle

We're having a miracle on earth

Mother nature does it all for us

Open hearts and surgery

(wonders of this world go on)

Sunday mornings with a cup of tea

Super powers always fighting

But Mona Lisa just keeps on smiling

It's a miracle it's a miracle it's a miracle

(wonders of this world go on)

It's a miracle it's a miracle it's a miracle

It's a miracle

The one thing (the one thing) we're all waiting for (we're all waiting for)

Is peace on earth (peace on earth) and an end to war (an end to war)

It's a miracle we need - the miracle

The miracle peace on earth and end to war today

That time will come one day you'll see when we can all be friends

It looks like all the photos I took from the concert are going to be in black&white. There was poor lighting at this venue and there's only some photos that I like from this set. But nevertheless, watching Every Avenue perform was amazing. We met with Dave afterwards and he's a real genuine kind of guy. Andd he's funny too.

If I could go back now, I wouldn't change a thing.
