Separation anxiety is something that has been present in Drake's life, both in childhood and adulthood. Over the years, it has continuously come and gone, and has recently began significantly impacting his mental state.

Drake's first experience with separation anxiety occurred sometime after he made his first friend, Enzo, following 10 years of neglect from his parents and constant bullying from other children—both of which remaining everpresent throughout his teenage years. Drake's separation anxiety started mostly as strong feelings of nervousness, but gradually started resulting in panic attacks, intense self-deprecation, and guilt.

Lately, the source of Drake's anxiety has been his separation from his best friend, Robbie, along with feelings of guilt stemming from said separation. The two are each other's prime source of emotional support and happiness, given their close bond and deep emotional connection. Because of this, Drake feels guilty for not always having time to be there for his best friend. These feelings are only made worse when he sees how the separation has also been affecting Robbie, who often suffers from depression, anger, and intrusive thoughts of violence. Drake knows that Robbie could never resent him for his absence, but there are many times when he grows anxious over the thought of it. He knows it's unhealthy for him to cling so strongly to Robbie, and for Robbie to do the same to him, but still his anxiety consumes him, unwavering despite his self-awareness.

In short, he is going through withdrawal—for Robbie, the person that makes him feel the safest, and the one who understands him the most.

"Withdrawal" is essentially a vent piece for Drake; it expresses both the reality and the delusion of his anxiety. It is a mental process that he has to go through: the attack and the aftermath of the attack—the deafening, helpless, pleading thoughts, to the silent, safe reality that he has to get himself back to.

These castles are so much more inspiring and awesome (in the true meaning of the word) than Disney ever could have created. Yes they are simple structures built for purpose and strategy but despite centuries of battering these soldiers stand everpresent still defending their coastlines, awaiting intruders.

It is by enlightenment through awareness that we needn't suffer but rather grow by our experiences. Enlightenment and awareness are not concrete terms, they do not prescribe to any particular notions... they needn't rise from beliefs of spirituality, divinity, knowledge, physicality, emotionality and so on. These terms are as unique to all of us as we are unique. Exemplified by our appreciation and openness to this uniqueness, our comfort in seeing that by allowing the concepts of our world to remain undefined is part of the everpresent expansion of our capacity for awareness. The key to awareness is in recognizing that it is not a static state of consciousness but an eversweeping current whether stillness is present or not, like a silent wind flowing among stone pillars. Our evolution via our growing acceptance of one another and our circumstances devoids suffering as it permits us freedom to remain resilient and strong through all.

He was like a budding flower in the way he had grown into himself—showing the promise of self love and acceptance he'd lacked for most of his life. He struggled for many years to get to this point—at times, almost allowing himself to wither away; he once defined himself by his sorrow. Now vibrant and flourishing, he has become much more. He is beautiful without tragedy—more content than melancholic.

His growth is ongoing—everpresent. It may stagger at times, leaving him to wither once again, but he refuses to; he clings on, knowing what waits on the other side of it is worth it. He knows that he is worth it. He is the flower that has grown through concrete—one that continues to bloom in the winter. He has embraced himself fully, and is proud of the person he’s become—no longer self-loathing; he’s come to love himself.

The season is new, and he’ll continue to grow brighter and more beautiful, fueled by love, hope, and creativity—free to become who he’s always wanted to be: himself.

This is a famous monument in a dramatic location, surrounded by mountains. The main circle has 38 large stones, some standing 3 metres (10 feet) high. The entrance seems to line up with the midwinter sunset. It’s one of Britain’s earliest stone circles, about 5,000 years old, and has been officially protected since 1883. However it gets so many visitors that conservation is an everpresent concern! Managed by the National Trust and English Heritage.

August 18: I went seeking a geocache that last Wednesday (according to my GPS) was only about a mile from Hwy 120. Huh. I could have gone overland, and probably gotten to it. But I waited and did a little map reading, and determined that the Gaylor Lakes trail would be FAR more pleasant than going overland. And I got the cache, called "Elevation 10725," just outside the boundary of Yosemite National Park. This lake with its everpresent snow was a fraction of a mile from my destination. There were old mines around, and teeny pristine lakes. It was a taste of heaven.

Alaska might be the last frontier of the U.S., but the cities, at least, have their everpresent ties to the Lower 48 states: this car, for example, was purchased in Beaverton, Oregon.

Approaching Grand Central station there are nice views of the Chrysler building and the everpresent American flags.

And noise - Your head fills with the ambient blare of the city, everpresent jangle of the Mason-Powell line, siren blares of police actions, Broadway horns, shouts of good morning or evening shouts of drunken foolery.

This is a tiny fly or maybe a wasp. I included the tip of a pin as a size reference. (Notice how rough the pin is. ) The strand is the web of spider. Smaller still.

Pollen is everpresent everywhere.

This picture practically begged to be taken near the entrance to the Summerhouse property. The Icelandic flag, flaps smartly in the everpresent breeze, with the famous active volcano Hekla clearly visible in the distance.

With everpresent smog and intense humidity, blue skies are a rarity in Southern China's cities.

The best candy bar in the world. It's too bad you can't buy it here in Modnarnia.

Typical photo taken by me featuring people and a view... with my everpresent telephoto lens.

I like it anyway, this is how a birding group works and looks in the eye of an outsider. We had successfully looked for Chestnut-collared Longspurs shortly before this shot.

Other things I like here is the road going on, but not forever : )

And of course the simmering heat is quite visible!

I can finally put a furry picture out on Friday! We are dogsitting Gracie this weekend. A delightful yellow lab. She is actually almost white. Is 8 years old and loves dog cookies and carrots. She has with her the everpresent frisbee, which she does not catch but carries to you when you come home. She was laying out by the garden and I noticed a hitch-hiker on her back. I am not sure she was tolerating the dragonfly or just too comfy to care!

This photo of our Back Garden, like all the secondary photos, is taken during the last 10 days.. The Cherry Trees have no blooms any more , and they are full of new tender leaves... The Lilacs and the Big Pink Rhodo , together with the Azaleas, give the basic Spring colours to our Garden right now... All my borders are -- again!!--- full of weeds, so a lot of new gardening work for me ahead!! The Delphiniums are quite tall already and they need staking , while the Clematis need me to give them more support for their fresh, curly stems...SO!! This is what I mean talking.... about "my garden babies"!! They always need me everpresent in the garden !!!

The Propylaea structures and it's seemingly everpresent scaffolding serve as the entryway to the Acropolis.

The names Smiling, Fat, Laughing or Happy Buddha are just Western nomenclature for this figure. He is usually depicted with a bald head, wide smile, a huge exposed belly, and always carrying a bag. It is because of the everpresent bag that the Chinese call him Budai, meaning calico or cloth bag. The Japanese name for him is Hotei, which has the same meaning.

1.16.2011

this weekend has been a roller coaster. I was glad for acupuncture and glad to have an everpresent reminder that my problems are small.

In the far detail, next to the top of the falls are two deer grazing, with one watching. I painted this mural in the hill country, and deer were everpresent. One day I returned from lunch to resume painting, and these two deer were on the front lawn in this same position. I ran inside and painted them before the image faded from my mind.

This Sandhill Crane (along with its everpresent mate) found this patch of creeping flowers particularly rewarding. Although wild, they are very used to people and not the least bit shy
