So... where to start? I've been hugely slack with uploads - but blame it on being in new countries and having intermittent internet connection... (tip: starbucks wifi is your global friend)
The 3 of us - Nikola, Kate and I had the idea of doing an "Everlast" themed shoot a few weeks ago - lots of buff sporty shots, so we scoped out an abandoned warehouse, brought along all our gear, and went nuts.
We had a few planned shots, but most of them we just hit the ground running with whatever the environment gave us - in this case, using the a wall of shelves as a grid, and hoping the reds would contrast well against the monotone environment.

Another trip down Memory Lane ...
These photos are from a shoot I did way back in September 2003; I was just starting out with digital cameras and working with models. I was equally clueless in both areas. I think I was using a Olympus and a Kodak digital camera. I also noticed that back at that time I was doing a lot of very tight close-ups to the detriment of others. Lessons learned.
The model here is a young lady named Anna; she was one of favorite models back then. Always fun to shoot with - great personality, sweet and sassy, gorgeous body, and very sharp. We didn't have themes back then, we just let the mood decide her outfits - and apparently this included a fitness shoot.
I took these photos at Westchester Lagoon, Anchorage, Alaska on a gorgeous late afternoon in September 2003. I miss those days!

The Everlast is managed by the Upper Lakes Group and is a partnership with McAsphalt. The tug and barge use an articulated pin system and when coupled measure just over 500 feet. The tug Everlast features 6,000 Horsepower which is directed through a Z Drive at the tug's stern. It was in at this shipyard for repairs. Shelburn, Nova Scotia, Canada
The tug actually goes partly into the barge it pushes and they act as one unit.
Portolos Salvage and Towage of Piraeus has sold their 143', 6,000HP Greek flag tug 'EVERLAST' (ex-Bilibino) to Canadian buyers. The tug originally was built by Hakodata Dockyard of Japan for the Russian company Far East Shipping (FESCO) as an articouple linked ocean tug pushing 9,512 dwt, 118 x 23m log barges in the Russian Far East. Propulsion is by twin Daihatsu 8 DSM-32 diesels with controllable pitch props in steering kort nozzles providing a bollard pull of about 85 tonnes. Portolos Salvage operated 'Everlast' as a salvage tug since their purchase in 1997 assisting in the salvage of a number of vessels including the double tow/salvage of the burning tug 'Macedon' and 17,199dwt 'Rothnie' soon after purchase followed by the refloating of the abandoned gasoline tanker 'Serifos' under a wreck removal contract. Through 1998 and ' 99 she continued salvage and assist work.
