Szeged legmonumentálisabb városképi jellegzetessége a kéttornyú neoromán stÃlusú Fogadalmi-templom.
A régi Szegedet teljesen elpusztÃtó 1879. évi árvÃz után, a városatyák fogadalmat tettek, ha a város újjáépül, nagyméretű dÃszes templomot emelnek. 1912-ben kezdték el az épÃtését Schulek Frigyes tervei szerint. Azonban az I. Világháború alatt leálltak a munkálatokkal, amit a tornyok második emeleti magasságában fehér terméskÅ‘ szegélyekkel jeleztek is, hogy azután 1923-ban folytathassák az épÃtkezést. Magyarország egyik legnagyobb, ötezer férÅ‘helyes templomának felszentelésére 1930-ban került sor.

Zwei Vorgängerkirchen dienten als Grundlage für das
1479 - 1504 erbaute Prachtstück, das im weiten Umkreis die schönste spätgotische Kirche ist. Philipp von Gmünd - ein Baumeister der Frankfurter Dombauhütte leitete seinerzeit die Baustelle. Die modernen Glasmalereien der Maßwerkfenster sind von Helmut Ammann aus dem Jahre 1968.
Im oberen Bildteil kann man noch ansatzweise das Altarkreuz sehen in dem sich die Fenster reflektieren - es war zu schwer um es aus dem Bild zu tragen...
Hab mir auch mal ein Tag Plandampf "175 Jahre Eisenbahn in Rheinland-Pfalz" angetan, hier der erste Zug des Tages zwischen Hinterweidenthal und Dahn in Höhe des ehemaligen Anschluss zum Nato Tanklager.

I was trying to get some in-flights of the hummingbirds in our backyard the other day. Our yard was still shaded so even at ISO 2000 this was shot at 1/25th of a second. I thought it was interesting as it shows the range of wing movement. You might ask, Todd, why did you shoot it at +1/3 EV exposure compensation. Well, it's a little technique I call "not checking your settings". [sigh]

I had set up the Star tracker right behind the vehicle.
After lightpainting the vehicle I took a single exposure of 60 seconds, in the same direction, at ISO 800 f/2.8.
I applied some star reduction in Photoshop.
The two. images blended together.
