This image shows a double page spread of handwritten text bound at the back of the book. The text provides various methods on how to formulate the equations. This insert may be the list of errors and their corrections pertaining to the 'errata' on page 49. This addition implies that readers had their own interpretations of Euclid's work supported by their notational practices.
