Escalator in Oktyabrskaya Metro Station shows how deep the Moscow Subway is. They were used as bomb shelters during WWII
From 1996, this narrow Westinghouse escalator was in the Marshall Field's department store (formerly Gimbel's) in downtown Milwaukee, WI. Clad with a sort of Art-Deco, a store employee said these were originally from a 1930s World's Fair.
I can't decide if this or the high-contrast version is my favorite! This was taken at the Tate Modern art gallery in London.
