Error by Vendel & de Wolf, the very big art installation at Westferry Circus as part of the 2025 Winter Lights at Canary Wharf. I'd got shots of this work on my Lumix the week previously when we had visited with friends but I couldn't seem to get a good shot then. So giving it a second go I was more pleased with the shots taken on my Canon DSLR.

The snowy egret (Egretta thula) is a small white heron. The genus name comes from Provençal French for the little egret, aigrette, which is a diminutive of aigron, 'heron'. The species name thula is the Araucano term for the black-necked swan, applied to this species in error by Chilean naturalist Juan Ignacio Molina in 1782.
The snowy egret is the American counterpart to the very similar Old World little egret, which has become established in the Bahamas. At one time, the plumes of the snowy egret were in great demand as decorations for women's hats. They were hunted for these plumes and this reduced the population of the species to dangerously low levels. Now protected in the United States by law, under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, this bird's population has rebounded.
Adult snowy egrets are entirely white apart from the yellow lores between the long black bill and the eye, black legs, and bright yellow feet. The nape and neck bear long, shaggy plumes known as aigrettes. Immature snowy egrets have duller, greenish legs.

I just can't seem to leave this alone. I'm never quite satisfied with this idea and this shot... this is the third time that I've dragged all of this stuff out to the old farmhouse. I thought I was happy with this.... until I sat and looked at it and decided that the tree needs to move about a foot to the left. Oh well... it's going to have to do... for this year, at least.
Next year.... lots of things are going to have to be better... lots better. Don't I say this EVERY year? (maybe that's one of the many reasons that I don't like the holidays.... ) Better days....

(Romans 10:1-13)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Por fin he acabado los exámenes!!
Ahora toca la desagradable espera por las notas... pero también volver a todo lo que hacía que me divirtiese. Y, por supuesto, Flickr está en ese grupo de cosas agradables que quiero recuperar. Poquito a poco, eso sí.
La intención es ir volviendo atrás en el tiempo y comentar las fotos de los últimos dos meses (o por lo menos verlas!!). Quizás me lleve todo el verano. :p
Y claro... si durante este tiempo recupero eso que llaman inspiración (hace tanto que se me escapó que hasta he olvidado su nombre), subiré alguna foto de tanto en tanto.
