The water was way to cold to take a dip in with out a wet suit. Hope and I played a game of errors. You stand about 60 feet apart and fire the old apple at your opponent and try to make them commit an error. I can still put some smoke on the ball and make it flutter and dance. But alas youth wins and all I get for my efforts is a couple of Motrins

The BBC (and many other news web sites) is serving a torrent of news right now for the Royal Wedding so it's not surprising that some sites are going down. First the BBC's video and now the occasional error message serving text pages (hit reload and you'll be fine). What I love though, is their burning "test card" - a really nice touch. Go BBC!
Why is this site making me work out what time of day it is (I'm in Canada right now so it involves a bit of calculation) rather than adjusting the error message according to context?
But more importantly, why is my British Gas online account control panel only available during office hours? Are they cutting back on energy costs? Do they let the servers go home at night?

Los Aztecas de la UDLAP (Universidad de las Américas Puebla) como un Gran Campeón tuvo un arranque avasallador. Con un tercer cuarto dominante en todos los sentidos, donde anotaron 21 puntos, los actuales Campeones demostraron porque son los actuales defensores del título 2010 en la Conferencia Premier de Futbol Americano tras humillar por paliza de 48-6 a los Borregos de Monterrey campus Puebla quienes están iniciando su segundo año en este joven circuito estudiantil.
Ante un “Templo del Dolor" repletamente lleno de público de los 2 equipos poblanos, los cholultecas batallaron demás en los dos primeros cuartos, para adjudicarse el éxito en compromiso correspondiente a la Semana 1 en la Comisión Nacional Deportiva Estudiantil de Instituciones Privadas (Conadeip).
Así, ante un gran ambiente, los aztecas se fueron al frente del marcador en el primer cuarto, luego de que Alejandro Góngora hizo válido un gol de campo de 31 yardas. Enseguida en la siguiente serie ofensiva, Edgar Valles con una corrida de 64 yardas, aumentó la ventaja 10-0.
Para el segundo cuarto, los “Camotec” despertaron luego de que Erick Juárez hizo una personal de una yarda, para el 10-6.
A dos minutos de finalizar la primera mitad, el cuadro de casa aumentó la ventaja tras corrida de James Walter y un gol de campo de Góngora, para el 20-6.
En el tercer cuarto el cuarto de los campeones, vino el despertar de la ofensiva cholulteca con un total de tres anotaciones, donde destacó el pasador Gustavo Alejandro García Arroyo, quien lanzó para un pase de touchdown y consiguió una anotación por la vía terrestre. Además, Samuel Wong logró una corrida de dos yardas, para el 41-6.
Finalmente en el último cuarto, un error defensivo provocó que Joaquín Guerra pusiera el marcador definitivo de 48-6, ante la algarabía de los presentes.
“Tenemos un buen equipo, pero hemos cometido errores que nos han impedido cerrar los partidos en las dos primeras mitades”, expresó el head coach, Eric Fisher. Destaco el ritmo con el que jugó la ofensiva en el tercer cuarto”, añadió.
Por su parte el estratega de los Borregos Poblanos Arturo Vázquez, indicó que se perdió pero hubo errores en el encuentro el cual se reflejó en el resultado aunque se haya tenido al principio un juego parejo por parte de ambos cuadros.
“Falta un poco de madurez, pero se le jugó al tú por tú durante dos cuartos y eso demuestra que crecimos un periodo más”, mencionó el entrenador de los "Camotec", Arturo Vázquez. “Nos falta la experiencia que solamente da el tiempo”, añadió.
La próxima semana, Aztecas visita a los Borregos Toluca; mientras que el Tec. Puebla recibe al Itesm Santa Fe.

This image is a composite of fourteen individual photos, each 4000 x 3000 pixels. The images were combined automatically using AutoStitch. I'm very happy with the result; AutoStitch seems like a fantastic piece of software. This is the first time I've used a 2D image stitcher, although I played around with Photosynth when it was first released.
For this image, I set the Output Size to 100% Scale and the JPEG Quality to 95; I also needed to increase the System Memory setting to 0.5 GB to avoid “Out of memory” errors. All other settings were left at the defaults.

One day, last week out of the blue, I needed to restart the system that running Window XP, and right after the PC displayed the normal Bios system information, the system just Froze and then I got this text only error screen. Of all of life, working with computers, I have never seen or come across an error message like is before.
Well the good news I was able to get my system back up in running again. I figured the first thing I should do remedy the situation was to turn off my system for about 15 minutes to let it cool down from the heat that was built up inside my system. After this event I have never encounter this error message again. and everything is back working as usual as before.

Niños y adultos, agitadores del error, paramédicos,éternautas y transeúntes con barbijos y alcohol en gel se manifestaron en el centro porteño afiermando que la pandemia de la gripe AN1H1 se disemino por error. Esta performance es parte de la campaña “bicentenar errorista , 200 años de error” que culminará en 2010 en la ciudad de Buenos Aires con el "Primer Congreso Internacional de Error y Errorismo.
