A highlight of fall in Waterdown Village is the annual Scarecrow Walk, starting in this eighth year on October 11 and running right until Hallowe’en.
“Once again, our local businesses and community partners will display uniquely decorated scarecrows, animating our streetscape and giving people of all ages more than 130 reasons to Walk Waterdown,” exclaimed Waterdown Village BIA Board of Management Chair, Amanda Groves.
She added, “The Scarecrow Walk has fast become a signature event for the community. Clues featuring mugshots of favourite monsters will be placed on 20 randomly selected scarecrows for scavengers to find for a chance to win shopping spree prizes. You can discover new businesses, take selfies with your favourite scarecrow entries, and test your detective skills to find all 130+ scarecrows and all 20 clues, for a wonderful day out for the whole family.”

I didn't find any point of view to highlight these magnificent and poignant statues: the backgrounds were always too charged. I decided to heavily modify the image to artificially highlight these statues, and introduce my vision of the drama that affected Ireland.

Here's my rendition of Catwoman.

The main inspiration was from Egyptian Cats. I figured why not make Catwoman Egyptian inspired.
The torso, legs, and head were all fully painted by me. I tried adding a royal necklace of sorts, maybe something she stole.
Her helmet is the old Catwoman helmet, with details painted on. The claws are a cut chain piece glued to the hand.
The main focus is the Arabic words scattered around the figure.
Huge thanks to Scott Blankfield who suggested adding something above her eyes.
Above her eyes says Cat in Arabic.
Across her eyeholes says "woman".
And her torso says claws, if read sideways.
Anyways, I'm really satisfied with how she came out!

L’Île d'Entrée est la seule île habitée de l'archipel québécois des Îles de la Madeleine qui n’est pas reliée par voie terrestre au reste de l'archipel. L'île est bornée par une succession de falaises aux couleurs et formes variées. Elle a en son centre un unique petit boisé. Les vaches et les chevaux paissent librement dans la prairie bordée de collines. On y retrouve comme seul prédateur le renard roux. Ses grandes falaises rouges, visibles depuis les îles centrales, abritent une grande quantité d'oiseaux nicheurs. Le point culminant de l'île d'Entrée, Big Hill (170 m), est également le plus haut sommet de l'archipel.
Entry Island (Île-d’Entrée in French) is an island off the east coast of the Magdalen Islands, which are part of the Canadian Province of Quebec. The island is 2 km wide and 3 km long. The island is located 12 km from the main port of Cap-aux-Meules of the Magdalen Islands. Entry Island is only accessible by the sea. Fishing is the main industry of the island with the lobster fishery being the most important, but some fishermen also harvest crab, scallops, whelk, mackerel, tuna and herring.
Visible as the first island when travelling by ferry from the Magdalen Islands, Entry Island can be identified by its lavishly tinted cliffs, the highest of which rises a sheer 559 feet (170.4 m) from the sea, and is the highest point of land in the archipelago. Fewer than 130 residents of Scottish and English origin inhabit this unique island. The island has two stores, a restaurant, an Anglican church, school, CLSC, museum, and post office; a Bed and Breakfast operates during the tourist season. (Wikipédia)

Originally, I was thinking about using a Ganondorf, Charizard, and Robin lineup, but I scraped the idea after seeing OrangXephos enter his Robin. Why scrap out my latest custom though?
I don't want my entry to contain a character that has been used. I really want my lineup to be unique, so I might try this lineup for one contest and a different for another? I'm not sure at this point.
