Boundary Bay and Passing paddler.

VIA's eastbound train #2, 'The Canadian' glides through the suburbs of Vancouver, approaching Fort Langley, BC on a late November evening.

The train is the 14 car 'off season' configuration that will be typical until the tourist season kicks off again in the springtime. Most of the leaves on the deciduous trees have departed their branches for the season also. Soon, this eastbound streamliner will be traveling after dark through this part of it's route. It was nice to have a clear enough evening to show off the stainless steel Budd cars in the last light of the day one more time before winter.

Weve had some beautiful conditions all this week, both at sunrise with inversions, and wonderful sunsets. A quick trip to a local loch a few nights ago ended with a stunningly red sky looking towards Ben Lomond.

Have a great week guys. Thanks for comments and faves.

This is about all the color we will receive for the fall. The crape myrtle tree with the bark peeling, the leaves turning, the tree still blooming and the seedpods getting ready to dry. First and only sign here of fall approaching. So all you good people up north take it away. LOL....

Best viewed large.

The first day of Autumn here and there is a definite nip in the air! There is something beautiful about nature going past it's prime...to me the textures and tones as things start to fade are more appealing than when everything is in full bloom.

At the very end of twilight, gentle colors were still painting the sky at Cannon Beach in Oregon. In this photo, intentionally softened via horizontal camera motion, Ecola Creek provides a foreground reflection as it flows along the beach toward the Pacific Ocean.
