Et voilà, on y est ! L'aventure touche à sa fin.
500 000 vues sur le compte et je vais arrêter là.
Tout d'abord merci à tous pour vos visites, vos commentaires et votre temps que vous m'avez offert. Ces 500000 visites sont les vôtres et cela été un honneur et un plaisir que de pouvoir les rassembler ici.
J'attendais patiemment ce chiffre symbolique pour mettre un terme à cette escapade photographique et ce pour plusieurs raisons.
Toutes mes dernières photos ont été faîtes par IA, c'est une technologie "game breaker" dont je suis tombé amoureux et avec laquelle je travaille chaque jours sur mes différents projets. Là où il fallait un bon appareil, un bel endroit et un peu de talent pour faire une belle photo, maintenant il suffit juste d'avoir un peu d'imagination et de patience pour avoir le même résultat sinon mieux, et on n'en est qu'à ses débuts ! C'est incroyable !
J'aurai pu continuer à venir proposer des photos ici, surtout que j'en ai des tonnes en stock mais il faut être honnête et j'ai souvent eu un coup d'avance dans la vie : Flikr est mort. Bon, en réalité cela fait maintenant plus de 5 ans que c'est le cas (et les puristes me répondront plus encore). Il suffit de voir les photos qui sont sélectionnées sur la page d'accueil et qui bien que certaines méritent amplement leur place, pour beaucoup d'autres la question se pose. J'ai surtout remarqué qu'il s'agissait plus d'une sorte de récompense pour les compte pro qui proposaient régulièrement du contenu. Bref, de la quantité au détriment de la qualité et cela biaise le jeu pour tout le monde au final.
J'ai aussi vu mon nombre de visite quotidienne se réduire comme une peau de chagrin, passant de plus de 1000 visites par jours à péniblement une cinquantaine alors que paradoxalement je n'ai jamais eu autant de photos sélectionnées par Flikr sur leur vitrine, c'est un constat alarmant et comme dans toutes chose de la vie : ne pas s'adapter c'est mourir.
Au final, j'espère vous avoir offert une balade agréable en ces lieux. J'ai pris du plaisir à partager mes créations et à découvrir les vôtres.

While headed to Jazzercise just before sunrise I had to stop to capture and bottle the breathtaking sky. I caught the very tail-end of the color. To me, there is not much better than the early morning, the day has so much potential and I am up and ready to take on the world. To those of you who sleep and miss the mornings, you should challenge yourself to get up and enjoy a quiet and peaceful moment in the morning. The light is the best, the air is still, the birds are chirping and it is yours alone for the taking. Enjoy your day!
PS - I pulled over at a gas station and my bottle is propped up on a rock in their park strip. Only had 3 shots left on my memory card but got my shot.
PPS - though I love being surrounded by mountains, I dream of sunrises and sunsets that occur at the horizon.

It was a gorgeous sunset here in Poole last night ( Tuesday) and in combination with a low tide made for a few nice images.
My photo trips are always *so* meticulously planned, it’s really nice to just ‘come across’ a place unexpectedly. On the walk from one spot to another, we passed this short dead end alley. To say it was grotty was an understatement- leaks, mould, dirt and grime… Still, it’s one of my favourite shots from the whole trip.

I know, I know. Hong Kong, again! I’m not wealthy- I just keep spending all my money on going there. I don’t think they say ‘Fourth Times the Charm’ but this trip was just that - a success. For almost the entire time I kept my mental health issues at bay. It was a good trip. After three disasters - It is really nice to say that.

Die Steinhofgründe sind ein weitläufiges, idyllisches Naherholungsgebiet am westlichen Stadtrand von Wien. The Steinhofgründe is a serene recreational area on the western outskirts of Vienna, perfect for walks and relaxation. It features rolling meadows, old trees, and peaceful trails, offering stunning views of the city.
The Rosental, a tranquil part of this area, is known for its open green spaces and gentle hills, creating a calm, natural retreat. Together with the nearby historic Otto Wagner Church, the Steinhofgründe provide a unique blend of nature and history close to the city.
Autumn plays with the evening sun and leaves an impressive play of colours in the sky, which reflects the lake in similar colours. This is what the end of the season looks like at the beach.
Abandoned and extremely picturesque farm on a dead end road just outside Matherville,IL. It looks like someone starting working on the old barn,but that was long ago and it is in teardown condition now.The old farmhouse is reaching that condition sadly as well.
On a brighter note,the newer house across the road was having a barbecue as we were exploring this old place,and it smelled delicious!
The last of my long exposure project at Dungeness. I always had the intention of converting to mono as it serves the subject well in my opinion.
