I pass this apple tree almost every day. It still has some apples on it until this day this late in the year! Every time the few remaining apples catch my attention even out of the corner of my eye while driving past it. Today, they looked particularly colorful. So I stopped and "picked" a picture. I hope you enjoy!
The branches hang quite high; I had to crop by a factor of about 1.63.
Hello all and Happy New Year. To all my friends and Flickr contacts.
Photography in the landscape genre for me has been even more sparse than 2021. The hopes of 2022 seeing a return to my prolific image making quickly faded with a serious case of covid and a more troubling period of #CBA (Cant Be Arsed) which if i'm honest I haven't quite shrugged off yet.
As such I have struggled greatly in trying to keep the photographic flame burning. Thankfully, on an off chance of doing some one off sports photography has evolved into being the regular photographer for my local grass roots football club which I have thoroughly enjoyed, but it comes with its own pressures of deadlines and expectations.
Still, looking back on the year that is now fast coming to an end (thankfully) i'm happy with the quality of imagery I have produce but maybe not so much with the qty and adventuring.
Finding the selection of images to present in my yearly round up (which have been gathering digital dust on my pc) was in itself a challenge.
A selection of images that sums up my year of 2022 has been found and hopefully for some of you reading this, will see some images you have not seen from me before
So, with that being said thank you one all, for the continued support you have shown me throughout 2022!
I have read every comment you guys have posted here and on my youtube channel and I done my my very best to reply to everyone. Sorry if I did, miss anyone :)
To all my flickr mates, existing friends, and new friends that I will make in 2023. Wishing you all a great New Year and I look forward greatly to seeing your images and reading about your adventures.
Regards
Geoff
Wishing all my Flickr friends a Happy New Year
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014
Thank you for all your support through the year.

See more at my Facebook-Fanpage!
It's incredible, the year is nearly over and I finished my first 52 weeks project... It will not be my last project, in January '14 I will start the next one:)
The time is so fast, I nearly can't catch it...
This picture is quite the same as the picture two weeks before which get it into explore (thanks again for that). But I was ill this week and yes, this was the best option I've had to upload. I apologies that:)
Actually I like the warmth in this picture, reminds me of summer...
I wish you a great week and enjoy the rest of the year 2013!
thanks so much for your support!:)
note: please do not take the title so seriously! :D
Whitsand Bay is situated in South East Cornwall. It runs from Rame Head in the east, to Portwrinkle in the west. It is characterised by sheer, high cliffs and dramatic scenery. At low tide an expanse of sand approaching 4 miles in length, where several smaller coves and beaches join up is revealed. The South West Coast Path runs the length of the bay.
The beach is fairly exposed and there are often surfable waves. However, Whitsand Bay has a reputation for strong rip currents which makes swimming potentially treacherous. The area also attracts divers who come to dive the HMS Scylla, an ex-naval frigate sunk in 2004 to create an artificial reef.
This image looks west from Sharrow Point. The small clusters of houses on the cliff are Portwrinkle and then Downderry, with Looe just barely visible in the distance.
SheClicks has started a 12 Days of Christmas Challenge, with themes every day from Christmas Day.
My images are titled with the theme for the day.
The prompts for today mentioned endings, transitions or looking ahead. This frosted sapling has a couple of 2025's leaves hanging on, and the buds for 2026 are developing.
Another cold walk around Wiggonholt Common. Instead of being sunny today, it was misty, and remained so all day. In fact I think I got the only hint of brightness on my wander.

Another year is coming to an end. Overall, I would have to say that 2014 was a pretty good year for me, of course, like any year it had it's ups and downs. But looking back I think there's been more ups than downs and that's nothing to scoff at.
As always at the end of the year, I'd like to thank everyone who has followed, encouraged and befriended me throughout my journey into photography. You guys are always a beckon of support that keeps me going on those frustrating and discouraging days, so thank you. Thank you!
My contacts and friends on here always provide such inspiration with what they see and shoot on a daily basis.
Wishing everyone a wonderful end to 2014; and a perfect beginning to 2015.

All the best for 2020 everyone. ❤

I have tried in my way to be free.

like a knight from some old fashioned book
I have saved all my ribbons for thee.

At the end of the year that felt very long in many ways, a certain weariness has come over me. These days' cold and rainy weather intensifies the desire to lie down and start hibernating for a few days at least.
