Dyke - Pogum River Ems - Pogum im Rheiderland ist eine Ortschaft in der Gemeinde Jemgum im Landkreis Leer in Ostfriesland.
Belgian dredger 'MS Manzanillo II' is busy maintaining the draft for larger ships on the river ems.
After discharging it's load into the North sea it sails back to the entrance to Emden and continue the dredging work.
In the background the Industry of the dutch harbour town 'Delfzijl' can be seen.

Mit dem Rückbau der noch bestehenden Brückenteile soll 2021 begonnen werden.
Bis 2024 soll die im Dezember 2015 zerstörte Brücke mit nur einer Klappsektion durch eine moderne Drehbrücke ersetzt werden.
Am Abend des 3. Dezember 2015 rammte ein Frachtschiff den geschlossenen Klappteil der Brücke und zerstörte ihn. Die Brücke kann nun nicht mehr genutzt werden. Ein notwendiger Neubau der Brücke wird inklusive Planung, Planfeststellung und Bauausführung mindestens fünf Jahre erfordern. (Wikipedia)
