ENG: Hi, everybody out there. Somehow it's strange when the landmarks of a city are so empty. Only very few people have crossed my way on Monday during my little bike tour to free my head from the clinic everyday life. That is somehow eerie and surreal.

GER: Hi ihr lieben da draußen. Irgendwie ist es schon komisch, wenn die Wahrzeichen einer Stadt so verweist sind. Nur ganz ganz wenige Leute haben meinen Weg am Montag gekreuzt bei meiner kleinen Radtour um den Kopf vom Klinik Alltag freizubekommen. Das ist schon irgendwie unheimlich und surreal.

To be honest, Eastern Market on a late Sunday afternoon with Stay-at-Home orders isn't much different than Eastern Market on any other late Sunday afternoon.

State Street, Orem, Utah. There's a joke in Utah that the city of Orem is 10 miles long and one block deep. Not quite accurate but pretty close to the truth. Like most towns in Utah the streets are plenty wide, thanks in part to Brigham Young who had a hand in planning most of the towns and cities in Utah. I can assure you that State Street is way more crowded on a Saturday afternoon!
Chinatown, Oahu, Hawai’i
Saw some interesting stickers and tags while walking around an empty Chinatown. Here’s one that was posted on a street light and captured on a roll of expired 35mm film from 12/2014.

reflected light drifts across the pavement like memories that never fully settle. a lone figure breaks the rhythm of geometry and glass, caught midstride between the visible and the forgotten. seen from above, the city becomes a quiet composition—more feeling than fact.

Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
Holmfirth is a small rural town in West Yorkshire, about 5 miles (8 km) south of Huddersfield. Pronounced "Home-firth", it is at the heart of the beautiful Holme Valley, north of the Peak District.
Waiting for the lights to change? The rain to stop? OR Debenhams to open?......Debenhams is a department store that is presently in administration. This is a chain of stores that has been in existance for 240 years. The administrators have failed to find a buyer for the stores. Many will not reopen after the present lockdown including its flagship branch in Oxford Street, London. This is likely to lead to the loss of 12,000 jobs.
This is likely to be a long wait.....
(Update : This store did reopen for a short period to sell off stock but finally closed its doors on the 16th May 2021)
