Day two of owning my new Nikon, but unfortunately the rain would be pouring all afternoon. I still wanted to go out, so I improvised some sort of rain jacket for my camera, pulled my poncho from the drawer and out I went! The rain adds so much more to everything so I'm pleased with the result. Now I'm enjoying a cup of tea trying to get my feet warm!

Taking pictures of all the things this week that I've wanted to do for a long time but haven't. Such as this.
I had a specific hope from this sunrise shoot of the Buttercross in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, and that was to capture the sun rising at the end of the street on the left (Wrawby Street). But unfortunately there was an annoying slither of cloud on the horizon and by the time it cleared, the sun had moved too far to the right. Maybe I’ll be luckier another time.
Shot as a 5 shot panorama (each bracketed) with my Tilt Shift, and stitched in Lightroom. The highlights on the front of the building are due to spotlights above the upper windows.
The Buttercross, historically was the Brigg Town Hall, but is now used as a tourist information centre and as an events venue.

Eastern Market Sunday
Slow Down for Pedestrians
To be honest, Eastern Market on a late Sunday afternoon with Stay-at-Home orders isn't much different than Eastern Market on any other late Sunday afternoon.

ENG: Last night discovered on the way from work to home. You can see the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel and the television tower at Berlin Alexanderplatz.
Hoteliers throughout Germany are setting an example in the Corona crisis. Lights in hotel rooms are switched on in such a way that huge hearts are watching. The hosts are thus thanking all the people who are currently helping. In this beautiful action "Lights of Love", the windows of the guest rooms are currently illuminated in such a way that, when viewed from the outside, they reveal a heart.

Drab and desolate as we begin the necessary 28 day COVID19 lockdown, province wide.
It is time for us to enjoy a much calmer, simpler style of living. We can make it through another lockdown, we are experienced now.
Thanks for visiting, please observe the restrictions to safeguard everyone in the community, including yourself #BeKind.
Josh and I stopped in a small town called Rheda Wiedenbrucke on our way to Cologne, Germany. The streets were empty, and that added to this historic beauty.
It was as if we stepped into a time machine.
the cold skin of the city stretches endlessly skyward. only in the reflections of storefronts flickers something humanâbrief, warm, almost tender. it is the kind of stillness you only hear when walking alone through rain-polished streets, the world wrapped in silence and light.
When I have pictures on display I don't like sticking around while people look at them so I go for walks and take more pictures. I took a few laps around the neighborhood.

A simple message repeated by leaders across the World including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: Unite against COVID-19, stay at home, break the chain of transmission and save lives. Teddy Bears are popping up across New Zealand as a distraction for children as they are walked daily in their locked-down neighbourhoods. Thoughts and prayers for the week ahead for the USA, UK, Europe and other countries facing unimaginable loss and pain.

ENG: Hi, everybody out there. Somehow it's strange when the landmarks of a city are so empty. Only very few people have crossed my way on Monday during my little bike tour to free my head from the clinic everyday life. That is somehow eerie and surreal.
You can see the Reichstag in Berlin's Mitte district.
