This award was made up by myself, based on the German Manesse codex. As the award is for people leaving, I wanted a ship sailing away. The Shield isn't part of the original, but I think it's nice to have the actual award symbol on the award.

sui capezzoli si addensano
e poi gocciolano giù e si spaccano sul pavimento.
quante sigarette hai fumato stasera?
il bicchiere è vuoto o pieno?
dimmi se ci sono stelle in cielo?
e il cane da accarezzare c'è l'hai?
6th Grade Empty Bowl Project 2009- Identity Bowls lesson- each student develops a plan that included a symbol that represents an aspect of their personal identity. The bowls are sculpted and glazed and each student then participates in the Empty Bowl Dinner where money is collected for local homeless shelters or soup kitchens. At the end of the dinner each student takes home the bowl they created and family members purchase extra bowls that have been decorated by the students.
December 28, 2020 - Green bottles. My wife and I are visiting my mother in law for the holidays. I spotted these empty bottles and decided to snap this picture.
So much of Koh Pich (an area of Phnom Penh) seems geared to the few wealthy Cambodians and visiting Chinese. It's full of hotels, stores, and facilities that are beyond the economic reach of the average Cambodian. It all seems like such a pointless waste when thousands of people just a few kilometres away try to scrounge a few dollars a day to eat and sleep.

My empty bowl of buffalo chili at the American Indian museum in DC. While I have strong doubts that buffalo chili is an authentic Native American dish consumed by at least one of the Plains tribes, it was still pretty good.
It seems empty nesters of every kind choose to live here too . . . I guess the trees will soon bloom again fully and who knows, maybe these occupants will come back too.
