Oberlin's Pottery Co-op and community volunteers sold 600 bowls and mugs at Empty Mugs fundraiser this month. The annual event took place at First Church in Oberlin. Proceeds were given to Oberlin Community Services, an organization that provides local residents with access to utilities, food, and housing.

Made this doll 23 years ago. She is now on her way to live with her new mommy, our niece, who will be having her own first baby in September. It was hard to wrap her up in that box...sure hope she's able to breathe on the long trip to Texas!
Something else that's new since I was last in Egypt: empty billboards. There are three in this picture. In 2018, they were all in action: the bottom two advertised chocolate bars. This phenomenon isn't restricted to Cairo; I saw it all over the country. At night, the tubes still light up. They're not broken. They're just unused.

Empty Sky is the official New Jersey September 11 memorial to the state's victims of the September 11 attacks on the United States.
In winter 2008 the City of Renton's arborist recognized that the logs that had been displayed on the connect had deteriorated to the point that they needed to be replaced. The disconnect sat empty for some months before suitable replacements could be found.
