The Roman Bridge in Cordoba Spain as remnants of a once striving addition to the Roman Empire. Not all aspects of Pax Romana were dubious, safe times for construction were one of the positive aspects of Rome's expansionist drive.

Five days after shooting this Empire Builder consist on August 5th, it is again making another round trip on the route from Chicago to the west coast on August 10th. Some strange dispatching delayed the Builder's route into the Minnesota Commercial and down the CP Merriam Park Subdivision to Union Depot.
from 2012...
when i first came to america i thought (from what i saw on tv and in movies) that diners like this could be found on pretty well every main street throughout the land. sadly it's not true so i was especially pleased to find the empire diner in nyc.
this shot is from a roll that had been sitting in my vivi since around 2009: it's such a good camera that i cannot believe i took so long to complete one 24 exposure film!

It's around 3:15pm on June 11, 2021 on a sunny day, perfect for a different take on the Empire Builder as it navigates through Saint Paul down seven hours. Here it works through the Minnesota Commercial yard in the Midway neighborhood.
The Empire State Building was lit up in red this night in honour of the US Travel Association and National Travel and Tourism Week.
The Empire Builder exits Saint Paul down an hour off the schedule. A pair of GE P42DCs make this train appear like an Empire Builder before the inception of the Siemens ALC-42s.

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING
Subí al Empire State

The Empire State Building is a 102-story Art Deco skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States. It was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and built from 1930 to 1931. Its name is derived from "Empire State", the nickname of the state of New York.
Opened in 1931, the Empire State Building is the world's most famous office building, a historical landmark, and was named "America's Favorite Architecture" in a poll conducted by the American Institute of Architects. It's no surprise that visiting this amazing building is one of the top places to visit in New York.
