Shot with the Olympus E-M1, Mark II in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York City. I was happy to see that this iconic diner is back in business and has even expanded.
While the Flickr map shows this location as the Meatpacking District of NYC it is, more accurately, north of that area, in Chelsea.
In color this diner is actually black, white and chrome. Note the person seated outdoors for breakfast in mid-December.

Kahuna Harv and I checked in on the Empire Mine on a gorgeous spring day. Looking at the image, it's hard to fathom that this was once one of the most prolific mining sites in Northern California. Actually, the grounds are divided into two distinct parts, the dirty dusty mining site, and the beautiful grounds occupied by the owners. Guess which side this is.
