For Looking Close…on Friday an embossed leather hand-tooled purse from Mexico. My brother bought this purse in 1968 for our mother. He was in the Army at that time, on R & R in Mexico before going to Vietnam. Later my mom passed the purse on to me.

This is a photo I created with 39 photos, stacked in Photoshop. I use one warm LED light from the bottom and on cool torch light from top. I use my laptop screen as background. Total size of the photo in longest part is about 2 and half inches. I will add behind the scene soon.

so rare to find mushrooms growing in January, but what amazed me was the ways the white hairs on the shank are glowing so. Thats one of the reasons fungi are so magical, they grow over the space of a few hours, with a sort of translucence, or shimmering appearance when new.... beautiful!!

Smile on Saturday -- theme "made of leather"

This is a vintage embossed leather handbag from the 1950s which belonged to my mother. It makes me smile not just on Saturdays but on any day that I bring it out. :-)

This beautiful hair barrette isn't really gold. It's fake brass maybe. It's ok, my hair is too short for it. The barrette is about 2-1/2 inches long.
