The hoistway of the "Not Ready Yet" Sigma scenic elevators. The elevator cars are located on the top floor (4th floor).
Elevators were wind damaged in July 2014, both demolished in Feb. 2015. CN rail service was abandoned in 2007.

Formoso is a Semi-Ghost Town in eastern Jewell County. The town is littered with abandoned homes and Main Street just stops at the railroad. The grain elevator is abandoned and downtown is almost empty. And yet they have a skating rink! The town still has more than 80 residents... but it used to have over 400!
Day 32: February 12, 2007 IIn the past, I always avoided using these subway elevators; they are not only less than pleasant inside, but I hate the vandalism so prominent against the sculptures. Lately, however, my knees are forcing me to use it more and more, and I'm getting to appreciate its practicality. (Also submitted to MSH Feb, # 20, "elevator/lift")
