Posted for Window Wednesday
We were driving through downtown Vancouver, me in the passenger seat with my camera, of course, because I love photographing the reflections in windows. The large window at the left is the Vancouver Music School and you can see, in the reflections, the buildings on the other side of the street, as well as bits of a crane. What I didn't realize till I uploaded the photos, was that the music school actually had musical scores all over their windows. That was not something I added after the fact :)
An old grain elevator and silos still stand as the world around seems to slowly fall down and fade away!

On my final day of railfanning the Appleton Sub, I achieved my goal of shooting L661 with the BN SD60M leading. Living in Indiana, it takes a great deal of effort to see BN predecessor schemes. So when I learned the schedule of the local on the old Milwaukee mainline, I had to spend some "September Skies" in Minnesota and South Dakota.
Here at Appleton, MN, L661 is on former GN rails and behind me will traverse a connection to reach the Milwaukee mainline. This would be the first shot a a fantastic afternoon.

I'll drive 700 miles to photograph an old grain elevator. I found this one 3 miles from my house and I'd never really noticed it before.
Gothia Towers is the largest hotel in the Nordic countries. It has 1.200 rooms and 11 suites and offers a variety of restaurants and bars. In 2014, the Upper House was inaugurated in the second tower, a five-star hotel within the hotel. The Upper House has an awarded restaurant and an exclusive 3-floor spa with an outdoor glass bottom pool on the 19th floor.
The first tower was built in 1984 and the second in 2001. The third tower was built between 2011-2014.

View of the high city in the historic center of Salvador. On the left, a part of the Lacerda Elevator, transporting people that connects the high to the low city, in the lower part is the Modelo Market, there are several souvenirs from Bahia, and around it, the second largest bay in the world, the Bay of All Saint. Very visited place by tourists from all over the world
These old elevators were designed for function not so much for form or prettiness. Over time though their patina transforms them into a wonderful artistic looking form.
