Nach oben gesehen: Herbstliche Farbexplosion

Die Skulptur ist eine Spende eines privaten Sammlers an die Stadt.

Jerome, Arizona was a thriving mining town. It was built on Mingus Mountain. The problem arose when the mine ate most of the interior of Mingus Mountain under Jerome. The land became very unstable and buildings began sliding down the mountain. If you look the right of this building you can see part of its foundation. Jerome is now a populated ghost town. It's an artist colony.

Must View Large On Black

I bought a pair of Wellington boots today :)! And guess what, I marched my way through rotting bloody sea weeds and waterpools to catch these patterns and colours. Oh boy it was exciting, overpowering the elements to get close to the elements. I have got some more exciting stuff from here.

The blackbird was sunning itself on some dry soil in the flower bed. It bathed for a few minutes had a wander in the shrubs and then came back to the same spot on 3 - 4 occassions. Alaways adopting the same position with its mouth wide open. - Perhaps to lose heat?

the vine started out as a straight little plant but soon become a large thick twisted trunk. the bottom is just two pieces and as it climbs it becomes three and higher becomes multi pieced.

the trunk is as thick as a leg. it's skin is tough but the inside is a sponge and very porous. the branches at the top are hollow like a reed or bamboo shoot. i cut this vine back twice in the summer almost to the point where it looks like it is barely alive and in two weeks is almost grown back.

it is the home of all type little animals. spiders, flies, bees, ants cats, raccoons, possums, butterflies and the dead pieces make for great fire starter pieces for my barbecue.

I decided to make my way to Ottawa our nation's capital to skate on the Rideau canal and of course to take photos and see the sights. I understand it was too cold down south to hold the inauguration outdoors. -18 C with a bit of a wind here, standing around to watch a parade verses walking or skating makes all the difference
