I had a lot to learn about Midwest farming; we don't have these huge structures out our way.
These HUGE grain bins are meant to store dry grain (corn, soybeans, wheat) and uses ventilation and aeration to keep it fresh.
Silos use wet feed storage (silage, chopped corn, fodder) in an air-tight environment, which allows it to ferment.
Bin = Pantry for dry grain
Silo = Refrigerator for wet feed.
Now go back to bed, you've learned something new today (maybe).
Queens, workers and males all have two yellow bands on the thorax but none on the abdomen. The yellow is bright and often straw-coloured. However the rear band on the thorax is less pronounced. The orange-red tail colouring extends over more than half of the abdomen. This species is usually associated with upland moors but may also be seen in habitats close to these.

while man build's
nature sings.
while man makes
nature partakes, in her delight in her giving nature.
man takes from nature and nature gladly gives.
man makes of nature what it wants and nature gives freely.
so let our homes be simple
let nature be grand.
let her shine and radiate
let us give her what she deserves.
let us give her the grace and dignity she gives to us.
my house is simple, my needs not much.
after all, mother nature is right outside my door.
i want her shine i want her grace, she makes me look good
no matter the pace.
while my life slows down and my emotions round down,
