I met Oleai Elementary School sixth grader, Miss Patty Laniyo, via video teleconference when she was the guest of the Saipan District Office on “Take a Child to Work Day.” As a follow up to our meeting, she arranged for me to visit the entire 6th grade at Oleai Elementary School. I met many bright and inquisitive young minds, all wanting to do good things for their community. We also delivered boxes of books from the Library of Congress Surplus Book program to help fill the school library’s shelves. Thank you Patty and thank you Turtles for your hospitality!
