Unloading the coal at the Willmar power plant is not an easy task in good weather, much less during the winter. Here's a closer shot of the flame thrower device used to heat the hoppers. Once this hopper was empty, they turned off the fire and moved it to the next car. The employee I talked to, who was dirty from head to toe, said, "If you have a teenager that doesn't want to go to school, bring him down here. This is what happens to you if you don't stay in school." I told him that both my boys are under the age of 4 and would just think this was the coolest thing ever.
