In Australia where the light is so much brighter and the distinction between water and air is more defined, I have experimented with long exposures to capture the nexus between the elements of water and air. These exposures blur the surface of the water and the clouds in the sky, and the motion of water and air forms a link between these two disparate elements. In Scotland, the flatter and more subdued light means that this distinction is not as apparent and I have been exploring images taken at a more conventional shutter speed and using light rather than motion to form the link.
