This has been fitted with grill & fend off LED's which is a first on Essex Police's Traffic Cars.

MK rail station terminus we see Centrebus (L170EKG 710) a 1993 Alexander bodied Scania N113 seen operating the X31 from Milton Keynes to Luton via Dunstable. This vehicle was the last step entry bus in operation with Centrebus (Luton) and has now been sold from the company. New to Newport Transport as No 70.

A very rare sight of this Alexander Strider bodied 1993 Scania N113 (L170EKG) on service X31 seen departing Betchley bus station. This vehicle is the last remaining step entrance bus in service with Centrebus based at Luton amd is not due to be withdrawn anytime soon.
This is Derek Blalock. He is biking across America to raise money and awareness for Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation. Thomas Smith was Derek's best friend from High School. Who passed away from an undiagnosed enlarged heart. This foundation would use the money to arrange free heart screen (EKG) to catch this disease early in young adults.
According to the American Heart Association, 2,000 under 25 years of age will die every year due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Having an automated external defibrillator, or AED, is not always enough. Within minutes, a person who has suffered SCA will die, unless treated immediately. “For every minute that elapses after sudden cardiac arrest, the chances of survival diminish 10 percent,” according to Medtronic.

Seen here on the short working between Luton & Dunstable service X31 is the very last Alexander Strider (L170WKG) (former Newport Transport) which amazingly in 2015 is still in service, its also the very last step entrance bus in service with Centrebus based at Luton and is seen departing outside the Galaxy centre Luton. Its very rare to see this vehicle out on public service but during school terms there's more demand for buses.
Diese Woche ist wieder viel los. Heute früh ging es zum Herzultraschall, danach zum Belastungs-EKG und als Sahnebonbon trage mache ich nun noch eine 24 Stunden Blutdruckmessung, die mir alle 20 Minuten den Arm abklemmt ^^
KiTa und Alltag wollen natürlich auch erledigt werden ... mein letzten Termin habe ich heute gegen 19.00 Uhr ... Gegen 20:30 werde ich dann wohl hoffentlich wieder zu Hause sein und Feierabend haben ...
Der Mittwoch wird ruhiger, zumindestens sieht es aktuell noch danach aus ...
It always fascinates me how water droplets cling to petals/leaves this way. You would expect them to trickle or slide downwards. This flower was one of the small, fringed Chrysanthemums. Rather a messy photo, but I guess I need to find somewhere to go to get some new photos!
Just spent most of the afternoon waiting at the Health Centre to get routine bloodwork, EKG, etc. done. The place was packed! I tend to put off any kind of tests for years and years. However, I know that when I next need a prescription refill, I will need to have got these tests done, so it pushed me into finally doing it - which is good, especially as I haven't felt too well the past three months : ) Tomorrrow - the dentist : )
One of the gifts my youngest daughter gave me at Christmas was an M&M (food) gift card. So, right now, there is a pot roast heating up in my oven, as well as a dish of Scalloped Potatoes. Thought I'd celebrate finally getting my tests done, LOL. Thanks so much, Rachel!!
I should add here that, much as I dislike any medical/dental appointments, I feel tremendously grateful that such care is available here. I can say exacly the same as far as food goes. The unfortunate people of Haiti would trade places with me in a heartbeat!!!! Such an overwhelmingly sad, sad time for them.

Summer Fun
Lila is doing fine. She had one partially blocked artery, about 65% blockage. They put a stent in it and restored normal blood and oxygen flow. The surgeon told me her EKG is perfectly normal again. I noticed her oxygen saturation was up at 99-98, where before the stent it was at the same level as mine, about 93-95. So I knew she was in trouble. I keep one of those finger monitors around to check on myself every now and then. Just to make sure the devil is not at the front door.
Lila is resting comfortably and will be coming home today. Good thing too, I got dishes from the floor to the ceiling!
