HMM- a maple seed is sometimes called a spinner or a helicopter because of its movement as it drops from the tree. so we have Heidi- helicopter and Muffett68- maple (seed)-- it works for both :)

Selimiye Mosque, Edirne, Turkey
The Selimiye Mosque is an Ottoman imperial mosque, which is located in the city of Edirne, Turkey is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Selim II, and was built by the imperial architect Mimar Sinan between 1568 and 1575. It was considered by Sinan to be his masterpiece and is one of the highest achievements of Islamic architecture. [1]
The square Mosque with its single great dome and four slender minarets, dominates the skyline of the former Ottoman capital of Edirne. Sinan, the most famous of Ottoman architects in the 16th century, considered the complex, which includes madrasas (Islamic schools), a covered market, clock house, outer courtyard and library, to be his best work. The interior decoration using Iznik tiles from the peak period of their production testifies to an art form that remains unsurpassed in this material. The complex is considered to be the most harmonious expression ever achieved of the Ottoman külliye, a group of buildings constructed around a mosque and managed as a single institution. [2]

The rugged coastline of Eiði in the Faroe Islands, where a solitary waterfall cascades directly into the ocean under dramatic skies.
Long exposure from the coastline near Eiði on Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands. I enjoy taking long exposure photos and I love the mood they can create. Here, I especially liked the difference between the smooth sea and clouds against the rugged textures of the cliffs.

Water, water, water... near Eidi there is Eidisvatn, a big lake that is used for power production. From the hillside the lakes surface seems to get one with the sea about 100 meters below.

Risin and Kellingin (Risin og Kellingin) are two sea stacks on the northern coast of Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands close to Eiði. The name also means The Giant and the Witch and they stand at a height of 71 and 68m tall respectively. Compare them to the enormous vertical cliffs beside them to get a feel for how majestic the Faroe Islands are.
Legend tells us that giants in Iceland wanted the Faroes, as they struggled to pull the island Eiðiskollur mountain split. They continued to struggle throughout the night unaware of the passing of time. As sunrise came a shaft of sunlight caught the giants and turned them to stone.

The alien coastline at Eidi, not quite what i was hoping for from here, but the rocks were without a doubt the slippiest i have ever known, and it was just too dangerous to go down to the waters edge, wish i could of stayed longer to get more shots in the bad weather, please expand to full size to get the benefit, cheers

Earlier this year I visited the Faroe Islands and this is from a series of photographs taken at Eidi, a village located on the north-west tip of Eysturoy.
The coastline at Eidi is simply stunning and somewhere I could happily spend hour after hour photographing the waves battering off the rocky coastline with waterfall dropping into the ocean in the background.
