I am sorry I was disconnected from internet for over a week and even when I had the service restored it was too damn slow for anything.

THE SPIRIT OF SACRIFICE:::::::::::::::::::::::::>
The prayers were followed by sacrificing animals.
To commemorate Hazrat Ibrahim's (AS) devotion to almighty Allah as illustrated by his readiness to give up his dearest son Hazrat Ismail (AS), well-off Muslims sacrifice animals and share the sacrificial meat with their relatives, neighbours and poor people.
Eid-ul-Azha does not simply commemorate the unique sacrifice made by them, it also testifies eloquently to the way in which both father and son cheerfully offered to suffer any self-sacrifice, however painful or difficult it might be, in order to obey the command of Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds.

The Ankole-Watusi is a modern American breed of domestic cattle. It derives from the Ankole group of Sanga cattle breeds of central Africa. It is characterized by very large horns.
The Ankole-Watusi may be of any color, but is usually red. The horns are unusually large, with a wide spread and the largest circumference found in any cattle breed.
Wishing all our Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world a very happy Eid-ul-Adha in commemoration of his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismaeel (AS), as an act of obedience to God's command.
Not strictly wildlife related but photographed inside the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kenya which is a wildlife viewing area, less than 500 Mts from a pride of Lions.

In der Eider-Treene-Sorge Niederung, kurz ETS genannt, durchströmen die drei Flüsse, Eider, Treene und Sorge eine weite, marschähnliche Landschaft, welche durch ihre atemberaubende Weite eine ganz besondere Magie entfaltet, welche sich allerdings nicht auf dem ersten Blick erschliesst. Es braucht Zeit, diese strukturarme Landschaft zu erschliessen, mit ihrer beindruckenden Vogelvielfalt und Erlebnisdichte. Ob es jubelnde Lerchen sind, oder zigtausende Gänse, genauso wie Kranich und Singschwäne, welche auf ihrem Zug nach Norden oder zurück, zu Zehntausenden die Landschaft mit ihren wilden Rufen füllen oder den Himmel verdunkelnde Staren Schwärme, die ihre betörenden Strudel tanzen. Es ist unmöglich, sich nicht faszinieren zu lassen in dem Gefühl: Genauso wirkte und klang die Welt hier bereits vor tausenden von Jahren.
