Eid el fitr is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "to break the fast" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah") and so symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period.

Was zu vor mit der Öffnung der Eiderbrücke für PKW zu sehen war , wiederholt sich hier mit der Öffnung der Brücke für den Schienenverkehr.

L'Eider est un canard de mer mais lors des migrations il arrive qu'on l'observe, pour notre plus grand bonheur, sur les plans d'eau à l'intérieur des terres.
The Eider is a sea duck but when migration happens it is observed, to our delight, the waters in the inland.
Les couples se suivent sur l'eau. Les femelles ne semblent pas être sur les nids. Aucun bébé en vue... L'an passé, le 15 juin, les bébés étaient en grand nombre sur l'eau avec les femelles et les mâles étaient presque tous partis. /
The couples follow each other on the water. Females do not appear to be on the nests. No babies in sight ... Last year, on June 15, many babies were out on the water with the females and the males were almost all gone.
