Es war schon sehr passend, das die Originale 243 145 von Delta Rail nach dem Feiertag „Tag der Deutschen Einheit“ nach Duisburg-Rheinhausen kam. Als ein Zug der „Neuen Seidenstraße“ erreicht er aus Frankfurt / Oder kommend in Kürze seinen Zielbahnhof.
It was very fitting that the original 243 145 from Delta Rail came to Duisburg-Rheinhausen one day after the “German Unity Day” holiday. As a train on the “New Silk Road”, the train coming from Frankfurt/Oder will reach its destination shortly.
I was expecting more out of the Arkansas-Oklahoma Railroad (A-OK), but had to settle for a quick out and back by wrong-facing Super 7 #4098 (aka "Wyatt"), seen here returning to McAlester, OK with two hoppers from Berry Plastics. Nicest group of guys though...
A quick bit of research reveals 4098 started life as Western Pacific U23B #2260. After rebuilding, it spent time on the Monongahela, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern before getting painted in this passable rendition of the Rock Island scheme. Most appropriate given this short local is operating on the Rock's former Choctaw route from Memphis to Tucumcari.
The start of Day 3, but a return visit is in order.

Terrance and Phillip are a Canadian comedy duo in South Park voiced by Matt Stone and Trey Parker respectively. The pair appear as the stars of The Terrance and Phillip Show.
Phillip (Sir Phillip Niles Argyle of Montréal) has blond hair and a blue shirt with a "P", while Terrance (Sir Terrance Henry Stoot from the "small village" of Toronto) has black hair and wears a red shirt with a "T".

Die elektrische Traktion bei EH blickt auf eine lange Geschichte zurück. Aus dem Jahr 1929 stammt diese Lok von AEG. Eingereiht als EH 83 wurde sie später zum Bahndienstfahrzeug EH 344 degradiert und steht heute im Duisburger Werk der ThyssenKrupp Steel AG als Denkmal.

EH Oldi
Electric traction at EH has a long history. This locomotive comes from AEG in 1929. Classified as EH 83, it was later downgraded to railway service vehicle EH 344 and today stands as a monument in the Duisburg factory of ThyssenKrupp Steel AG.
