The male figure near the left roof gable, depicts according to local tradition the God Thor, who used to be worshipped here during the viking age. The figure may also represent the norwegian king Olav II Haraldsson (more known as Saint Olav) who some scholars say became a replacement for Thor, after the introduction of christianity.

This photo is from an area called Martha's Butte in Petrified Forest National Park. There are no trails to this area. We used topo maps and hiked cross country to get to our destination. The cool thing about this is that these are "unprotected" petroglyphs. It's unusual to find any that aren't cordoned off from the public.

Taken at a local rest home .

The still water all over the floor of this abandoned Victorian Asylum gave some great reflections of the windows.

I had no idea that there was a SR-71 Blackbird in Oregon let alone at the evergreen aviation museum. My jaw dropped and excited geekboy gasp type sound came out when I saw it.

Shot straight into bright sunshine, so for once the halo in the image is real and not caused by my usual desire for over-processing :)
