This is a prototype ring modulator based on a 565 PLL chip, there is a 3 position switch for the sweep center frequency, a tone switch to kill some of the high frequency, a mix pot and an external carrier null pot to trim out the carrier. The foot pedal sweeps the oscillator frequency. It is based on a Craig Anderton design.

Built from a Build Your Own Clone kit, the "Scrambled Octave". This kit is a clone of the rare Ampeg Scrambler. I titled mine "The White Peach" because this effect can be sweet or tart—just like a peach.
I chipped the paint off the case for the eyes after sketching out the squid. Looks great when the light catches them!

I was going to pick up a Noise Swash effect pedal from 4ms. I wanted to supply a graphic to personalize the pedal. I was in the process of reading a history of Pink Floyd and was inspired to use Syd Barrett's image on the pedal. This is what I came up with.

Not the cleanest build, but it's hard when the pots and LED aren't mounted to the PCB. Masking tape insures that the PDB doesn't short out on the case.
