52 weeks of 2017, week 40 Collodian effect.
I fiddled with several effects and then applied GIMP grainy filter, info in comments.
This week let’s have some retro fun! The theme for the week is the “Collodian Effect”, a retro look back in the day of wet plate photography. Well, in the day, it wasn’t retro, it was the face of photography. Today we can get picture perfect images and “develop” them with software. We can tweak them to have whatever look we want. Looking back at the photographers of yesteryear (and the poor perfectly still models), we can appreciate how lucky we are. Using the magic of software and your personal creativity, produce an image that looks as if it was taken and developed back in the day of wet plate processing.

Rounding out my tour of Mass Effect capital ships is the SR1 (again). This build is right around 5 feet which is just over 1.5 for the metrically inclined. Construction is mostly studless and was built from primary reference.
Build time was around 160 hours in about four weeks. Most of that was dealing with shaping issues on the fuselage and getting things to attach at the proper angles. As much as I love the ship design from Mass Effect, they really aren't Lego-friendly.
So I thought of testing out the Droste effect on Photoshop CS5. Came out perfect on the very first go :)

A photographer can get up early and watch for fog or can, today, create the effect with software. I was able to create the effect on this photo. Autumn is a great time for fog...warm water, cold air...lifts steam from the lake.
Mass effect's Omni Tool/Omni Blade re-imagined as a ring.
Surely one of the stranger ideas that has popped into my head. Wasn't quite sure if it was "good enuff" but the design has grown on me (especially after I got the more subdued steel version).
Made in Stainless Steel via Shapeways then hand painted by me.

This photo was taken by a Yashica FR1 SLR 35mm film camera and ML 28mm 1:2.8 lens using Kodak 135 Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an HP Scanjet G4050 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
Saw these nice teasels when I pulled over to snap some nature shots on a beautiful morning in Ohio. Shot with an LG G Pad 7.0 tablet. Edited in PicsArt app w with the 'film' filter that I personally adjusted.

A set of trials again on Camera toss to simulate laser effect.
Shook my cam in a speed motion as I fire. 2 selected composites merged to one to create this surreal feel..
This is an older picture I shot in 2008 and just stumbled over it on my harddisk. :D I used a 50mm f/1.4 lens wide open and a paper vignette. Since the traffic light hangs at about 3m height it took me several attempts with my camera hold up on a tripod to get the shot I wanted.
Shot at the Maihof School in Luzern, using a Pentax K100D DSLR and FA50/1.4 lens.
I'm here to learn, so feel free writing honest/hard critiques.
Probably the most rare car in my smudgy collection of pictures, this is the Lea Francis Leaf-Lynx which made it's debut at the 1960 Earls Court motor show. The show car was painted mauve and it was ugly, very ugly. This luxury sports car was powered by a triple S.U. carburettor Ford Zephyr engine and it had a tubular steel chassis. It could have had a sleek(?) hard top made of perspex, non of which were ever seen. This last flowering of the Lea Francis Motor Company, Much Park Street Coventry, never went into production. This one was photographed at a Lea-Francis owners club rally in 1971, it has a March 72 tax disc. It must survive in a collection somewhere although the DVLA have no record.
I took this photo after I get wet a wave to me and my camera. After drying everything the inverse filter still wet, so the effect of this glow y lights and shadows.

Saqué esta foto despés de una buena caladura con una ola, sequé la cámara y el objetivo pero el trapo non dió para más y el filtro inverso no se secaba, por eso tiene el efecto glow que no me gusta nada, habrá que volver a hacerla de nuevo, gracias Esca por llevare y enseñarme este sitio nuevo.

On Tuesday I go to the outing of Religion, we went by the missionaries, we sang in the language of Congo, and we discussed about so many things. Then we entered into a museum of stuffed animals, bones, and so many fascinating and intriguing things, I was ecstatic. I took about ten photos, but I haven't my sweet camera, so I 've shot with a camera a bit 'poor...
Lighting on this shoot was extra tough and a lot of these didn't work out. I don't have proper diffusers and even if I did, getting the light level high enough was hard enough as it was. This is 2,000W of halogens, believe it or not. Thinkin' I should have opted for the dark tablecloth rather than the light one.
First finished attempt to create as compact as possible 2-seater car using 2-seater detail (30149) back from Adventurers' theme. Idea came a year ago while playing with real bricks & now I returned to rethink first trials
The car was created to be stable. According to this placement of wheels the clearance can be lowered with one plate hight. I will test it in some streetracer tuned cars. But even so it's not enough to match the minifigure scale and car hight. We all knew that fact before. So I made the car's shape & ptoportions look like real to minimize this effect a bit
I haven't used LDD for half-year & was amazed with coming of new details. Finally this car was painted red to fit the really existing bricks (black & white also possible for this parts kit) but I liked medium/dark azur more
