The Taron Auto EE was produced from 1963-1965. It is a substantial, solidly made Japanese rangefinder with a 6-element Taronar 45/1.8 lens.

This was given to me yesterday by a neighbor in its case and with two obsolete flashes. The focusing ring was stuck and took quite a while to free up. It was loaded with a mystery film that turned out to be a 12-exposure roll of Kodacolor II (mid-'70s vintage) of which I shot every frame. This relic will go off to Dwayne's for processing soon.

The meter seems accurate, and so I've loaded it with Tri-X found at Goodwill for $2/roll.

Meter appears to read about 2 stops over, so incident metering.

Entering service during October 1955 the EE Type 5 Prototype Co-Co 'Deltic' was allocated to 8C Speke Junction before ending its operational days at 34B Hornsey during March 1961. It is now preserved at the 'Locomotion' Museum at Shildon, where it was pictured on September 30th 2025.

Battery electric locomotives were a cheap form of traction for power stations, and this example worked at Bolton's Halliwell Power Station. Built by English Electric in 1944 (works number 1378) to an order from E. E. Baguley Ltd. (their number 3217 / 1944) it now resides at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.

A consumer rangefinder from 1963, the Konica EE Matic was as close to a point-and-shoot camera as was available at this time. It's a mechanically simple camera, using speed priority set at 1/60th of a second. It's ease of use, nice lens, and clean lines contributed to its popularity among amateur photographers.

EE Type 4 D347 (later Class 40 40147), still in green livery, approaches Mirfield from the west with a rake of coal empties heading for Healey Mills, its home base at this time.

My records show one steam loco was seen - 8F 48620 - and six EE Type 4s - D398 / D392 / D344 / D356 / D347 / D394 - plus an EE Type 3 D6929 - apart from the steam locomotive it was all very boring stuff !!!

This Pic is from my personal photo collection taken during the 1980's and 1990's as I followed my hobby of spotting and bashing locos around the uk .

After spending some time cleaning the images up I now feel it's time to show them and not let them hide away in a box.

Please Enjoy.
