So wurden bereits 2007 die Schnellzüge von und nach Russland von der privaten GoRail in zusammenarbeit mit der RDZ betrieben.
Vor dem Zug aus Moskau zieht TEP70 0320 die paar Wagen auf Tapa zu. Bis nach Tallinn war es dann nur ein "Katzensprung" im Vergleich mit der Strecke welche der Zug bereits hinter sich gebracht hat.
Die Lok hat 1993 das Licht der Welt erblickt, also bereits nach dem Zerfall der UDSSR. Die Loks waren die Schnellzugloks für Strecke ohne Fahrdraht.

Na twee jaar van relatieve stilte zijn de sleepbootdagen in Woudsend weer een mooi evenement. Een weekend lang liggen zo'n 70 historische schepen afgemeerd in het pittoreske dorp, geen stad. Op vrijdagavond werd het feest geopend met een optreden van de plaatselijke pollesjongers en de bekendmaking van de sleepbootschipper van het jaar 2022., een mooie start van een wervelend weekend. Op zaterdag is er een boerenmarkt. Er zijn shantykoren te gast, oldtimers te bewonderen en er kan zelfs gevaren worden. Zondag komen mienskiporkesten van Woudsend en elders aan bod. Het belooft een mooi weekend te worden vol gezelligheid en plezier

A short walk from the bustling market town of Strathaven, alongside Avon Water to a ruined mill above the Spectacle E'e waterfalls - so named as a result of an incident involving a local man who fell in love with the miller's daughter. The miller disapproved of the union and ended their relationship. As revenge the lad placed an eye glass in the mill's thatch, causing it to catch fire and the mill to be burned to the ground.

The last time I visited Portugal for railway photography purposes was in March 92, 30 years later almost to the day I find myself chasing those big orange diesels again only this time there are far less to choose from. In 92 my main target was the CP Rail equivelent of our Class 50s. They had 10 built at VF and were immense broad gauge locos that roared like class 50s and whistled like class 40s. They are all gone now with the exception of 1805 which is preserved and works the occasional tour on the main line. Suprisingly still in existence are the CP Rail version of our class 20s. 10 were built by VF with the same engine but super charged as an 8 CSVT giving 1400 hp. 58 were assembled by Sorefame who were a Portuguese engineering company, this company eventually was taken over by Alstom and then Bombardier.
My best research discovered that of the original 68 6 remain allocated to Porto Campania depot, 2 at Lisbons Barriero depot and 7 have been acquired by a private freight company called Medway. Some were exported to Argentina but I don't know the exact number.
Here we see broad gauge beast 1432 bringing the stock into Campania station which will form the 0725 to Pocinho. The train will run along the Douro valley which is some of the most spectacular countryside I have ever travelled along.
Nothing works without batteries! If the original batteries are empty, remove one and replace it with two SR44 or LR44. Works wonderful!
