One of the first events that educators participated in for the Educator Leadership Rendezvous was a goose chase. They had to complete all of the tasks on the list. The ELR was hosted by the Wyoming National Guard, July 30 to Aug. 1, 2024 at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, Wyo. Educators learn about all of the options for jobs within the military and take the knowledge back to their students so that they have an additional option to think about after they complete school. The Valdosta-Lowndes Retired Educators Association meeting was held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, GA. The legislators were present to answer questions before the business meeting and delicious lunch buffet was enjoyed by many.
Austin Creative Reuse hosted two materials drive for Austin educators: school teachers (public, private, charter), after school teachers, day care providers, etc. They received materials for use in their classrooms and programs. We collected materials from the community and local businesses and distributed to Austin area educators. They were so appreciative and we were happy to support the community.
