Day 4 - Final day of the YSEALI Empowering Educators in Southeast Asia workshop. This workshop is held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and has brought in up to 100 participants from all the ASEAN countries & Timor-Leste!

The Valdosta-Lowndes Retired Educators' Association held their November meeting on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, GA.

The National Association of Cuban American Educators (NACAE) awarded "Educator of the Year 2012" Dr. Modesto A. Maidique, President Emeritus of Florida International University (FIU), Alva H. Chapman Jr. Eminent Scholar Chair in Leadership, Executive Director of the Center for Leadership and Professor of Management, Faculty of Business Administration, all at FIU. Dr. Maidique was FIU President for 23 years, the first Cuban-American university president in the U.S.

 

The event also gave the scholarship NACAE "Gastón Fernández de la Torriente" the student Carolina Sanchez

Every year, the College of Education hosts a back-to-school thank-you reception for Pullman-area educators, in particular the Pullman School District, with whom the college has had a special relationship for a number of years. This year's event took place at South Fork on August 22.

Early childhood educators (ECEs) will receive another hourly raise, starting on Jan. 1, 2024, to support the essential work they do to educate and care for young children. Learn more: news.gov.bc.ca/29745

Every year, the College of Education hosts a back-to-school thank-you reception for Pullman-area educators, in particular the Pullman School District, with whom the college has had a special relationship for a number of years. This year's event took place at South Fork on August 22.

Meet & greet with a help area for folks arriving for a couple of presentations at Chester County Intermediate Unit (in partnership with ISTE) in Second Life. Staff assisted with helping others enable sound on their computers so they could hear the presentations. Very smart of them.

The Army War College thanked local educators for their dedication in working with the children of military families during an outstanding educators reception April 26 at Quarters One on Carlisle Barracks.

Educators from across the state flew into the Delaware National Guard's River Road Training Site on Thursday, May 7, 2015 and Friday, May 8, 2015. They started their experience with a ride in a UH-60 Blackhawk. Once at River Road, they were trained on the Engagement Skills Trainer and the Virtual Convoy Operations Trainer. The rounded out the day with briefings on the benefits of joining the National Guard. The day long experience is designed to give educators a look inside the Delaware National Guard so they can pass that information on to their students who are interested in a military career.
