This is part of my lock-down enjoyments, that is reading and for me although I’ve read this novel before, I still believe it is one of the best books of the 20th century. A fantastic film too, terrific casting and direction.
Also at this time I spend a little time getting together all the books I have purchased in the year and selling them. So if you could just wait a little bit, I will definitely get round to visiting to my friends on FlicKR.

Happy Valentine's Day! The heart above is the center of a homemade valentine that my SIL made for us.
But the real valentine is below :)
Took a bit of a cycle ride out into the countryside late this afternoon. Ended up in a churchyard of a small village where I noticed this feather stuck in a pruned yew tree.
The title is an allusion to a contact who seems to have recently specialised in 'found feather' shots :-)

This shot of a curly fence in Brooklyn Heights made me think of looking inside a wave. Here are some surfer terms defined: "The barrel is where the wave is hollow when it is breaking. Surfers love to be in the barrel, otherwise known as the tube or green room." HFF everyone, and may your weekend be totally tubular.

An unusual, pandemic-shortened Southwest Chief is framed by the MP 717 semaphores as it scoots westward on the Raton Subdivision between Colmor and Levy, NM. A couple days later, signal cabinets and concrete bases were dropped at several locations on this portion of the line, including here. Thus, this may in fact be the last shot from this spot "as-is" without a giant shiny silver box directly behind the westbound signal.
