Comiccon Holland 2023 - Q&A Claudia Wells

Claudia Wells

Back To The Future

Since the 1980s, the whole of the Netherlands has been crazy about Back To The Future, but guess what? That Back To The Future is also crazy about the Netherlands! And that will make our next guest clear. She was thrilled to come back to her many fans in the Netherlands because it's been many years.

We are of course talking about the one and only Jeniffer, the girlfriend of Marty McFly in the original Back To The Future played by the charming Claudia Wells! We're announcing them a little late, but if we've learned anything from Back To The Future, it's that time is relative. Come meet her on both days at Comic Con Holland! Get in your Delorean and fly to the Brabanthallen!

( Comic Con Holland is the event in the Netherlands for all true fans and enthusiasts of Comics, Manga, Cosplay, Gaming, Films, Series, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and more.

Escape to a magical world, the ultimate Geek experience with world famous star guests to meet and a huge Geek Market to visit.

But also fascinating workshops, Q&As and lectures, but you can also just play games and enjoy the many competitions and performances.

Above all, it is the perfect time to make friends and have a fun day with other fans. We are very happy to land in the Brabanthallen with our Comic Con Spaceship!

I couldn't make up my mind which picture looked the best. My new glasses have made editing picture's interesting. When I say interesting I mean that it's not good. LOL! Anyway I hope you all enjoy seeing how cute this little kitten is. Have a nice Sunday!

Both edits done in Lightroom. Here are my basic steps:

Straightened the photo making the wooden bar level, cropped slightly to bring the hat to the left edge.

Used the clone/heal tool to clean up the crumbs/spots around her mouth and the dark spot on her hat.

Applied preset Vintage Blue

Adjusted exposure to 0.51

Adjusted brightness to 43

Reduced luminance smoothing to 55 and color noise reduction to 68

Added an adjustment brush set to Iris Enhance selecting her eyes

Removed the vignette that was added in the preset and then used adjustment brush to lighten the upper left corner of the hat and darken the portion above her forehead.

Adjusted the Shadow Hue slightly to adjust the color

Added a Dodge adjustment just under her lips as it was a bit dark.

For the black & white, I started with the color edit and converted to b&w, adjusting the Shadow Hue and Contrast until I got tones I liked. Set the Point Curve to Strong Contrast

Adjusted contrast, fill light, and recovery until I liked the results.

A re-edit of one of the first photos that I took that really pleased me. Over 15 years later, I made some adjustments in Luminar 4 and applied a lookup table.

Should've edited the slides before making the slideshow ...

I know i went crazy with this editing, but it was such a gray day the sky was absolutely dull and things needed to be spiced up a little. I promise il upload something less weird next time :)

plus 2 in the comments

definitely edited all of them

I haven't shot much personal work since my 365, but really wanted to retouch something so chose an outtake from a shoot at the end of last year. I should have some new work shot soon!

This didn't turn out as great as I wanted it to. I think the original looks better and he stands out a little too much.

Thoughts?

All editing done with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and the Noiseware Community Edition.

I started this edit by rotating clockwise just a bit. After rotating, I used Image>Resize>Scale to recompose the shot. I felt the pom pom was too close to the edge of the frame and thought it detracted rather than added to the shot.

Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Levels

I auto adjusted and then adjusted the middle shadow slider to brighten it up a bit more.

Then I used the virtualPhotographer plug-in and chose the childhood preset.

After this I brought the edit into Noiseware and used the portrait preset to remove the noise.

Edited out the distracting tree branch in the foreground, shown in my last post.

Should have edited the shot in the first place.

My husband edited my pencil drawing with whatsoever software. It looks very cool!
