Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.

La Biblioteca Laurentina fue fundada como una gran biblioteca renacentista por el Rey Felipe II en el siglo XVI. Dicho espacio destaca por su riqueza de libros impresos antiguos, en especial de ediciones de los siglos XV y XVI, acogiendo en su interior hasta 40.000 volúmenes y 600 incunables.
Además, constituye uno de los principales exponentes del humanismo en España, pues personalidades como Juan Páez de Castro, Juan Bautista Cardona o Antonio Agustín, humanistas de gran talla, colaboraron con el monarca en su configuración. El Salón Principal o Salón de Frescos, el más célebre del complejo, dispone de unas librerías diseñadas por Juan de Herrera y retratos de personajes históricos, instrumentos matemáticos y científicos, mapas, esferas, astrolabios, reproducciones de fauna y flora, monetario y medallero.
La Biblioteca, además, cuenta con una gran colección de grabados, con más de 7.000 piezas de los mejores artistas europeos de la época, y de una rica elaboración de catálogos de las colecciones de manuscritos de distinta procedencia (castellanos, latinos, griegos, hebreos…). Cabe reseñar la labor de restauración de los códices más relevantes de la Biblioteca, así como: dibujos, partituras del Archivo de Música, obras del Archivo de Documentos y Auténticas (documentos que acreditan que la reliquia es original).
The Laurentine Library
was founded as a grand Renaissance library by King Philip II in the 16th century. This space stands out for its wealth of ancient printed books, especially editions from the 15th and 16th centuries, housing up to 40,000 volumes and 600 incunabula.
Furthermore, it constitutes one of the main representatives of humanism in Spain, as personalities such as Juan Páez de Castro, Juan Bautista Cardona, or Antonio Agustín, eminent humanists, collaborated with the monarch in its establishment. The Main Hall or Fresco Hall, the most famous in the complex, features bookshelves designed by Juan de Herrera, portraits of historical figures, mathematical and scientific instruments, maps, spheres, astrolabes, reproductions of fauna and flora, as well as a monetary and medal collection.
Additionally, the Library boasts a large collection of engravings, with over 7,000 pieces from the finest European artists of the time, and an extensive cataloging effort of manuscript collections from various origins (Castilian, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, etc.). It is worth noting the restoration work on the most relevant codices in the Library, as well as drawings, scores from the Music Archive, and works from the Archive of Documents and Authentics (documents attesting to the authenticity of relics).

Un exponente clásico de todas las ediciones de la FIDAE es el Boeing 737-300 de la FACh. La imagen muestra en detalle sus luces de navegación, así como su cola, mientras que en segundo plano, un paracaidista del grupo Boinas Azules asombra al público con su presentación.
A classic airplane of all FIDAE editions is the FACh's Boeing 737-300. The image shows its navigation lights in detail, as well as its tail, while in the background, a paratrooper from the Boinas Azules group astonishes the public with his presentation.

Temps de Flors 2024, Girona.
Girona se convierte en un gran jardín urbano con la llegada de Temps de Flors, una fiesta primaveral que este año 2024 se celebra del 11 al 19 de mayo, ocho días para vivir todo el color y la belleza de la naturaleza. Como en todas las ediciones anteriores, la ciudad se adorna con vivos arreglos florales que engalanan edificios emblemáticos del casco histórico y un sinfín de rincones y plazas, dando vida a un espectáculo que cada año regala imágenes irrepetibles.
La 69 edición de la fiesta Temps de Flors, una exhibición de flores y plantas en jardines, calles y monumentos, regresa en 2024, llenando la ciudad de Girona con su esencia de deleite primaveral y en contacto con la naturaleza. Además de calles, plazas y escalinatas, espacios interiores como claustros, los subterráneos de la Catedral o los Baños Árabes, junto a un sinfín de patios habitualmente privados, volverán a abrir sus puertas para recibir a un público entregado.
En total, este año se pueden contemplar 109 instalaciones florales repartidas en 12 barrios gerundenses: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà y Vall de Sant Daniel. Algunos están realizados por jardineros profesionales, mientras otros son obra de asociaciones vecinales e incluso estudiantes de colegios e institutos.
Girona becomes a large urban garden with the arrival of Temps de Flors, a spring festival that this year 2024 will be celebrated from May 11 to 19, eight days to experience all the color and beauty of nature. As in all previous editions, the city is adorned with vivid floral arrangements that adorn emblematic buildings in the historic center and countless corners and squares, giving life to a spectacle that each year provides unrepeatable images.
The 69th edition of the Temps de Flors festival, an exhibition of flowers and plants in gardens, streets and monuments, returns in 2024, filling the city of Girona with its essence of spring delight and in contact with nature. In addition to streets, squares and staircases, interior spaces such as cloisters, the basement of the Cathedral or the Arab Baths, along with an endless number of usually private patios, will reopen their doors to welcome a dedicated public.
In total, this year you can see 109 floral installations spread across 12 Girona neighborhoods: Barri Vell, Can Gibert del Pla, Carme, Devesa, Eixample, Fontajau, Mercadal, Montilivi, Santa Eugènia, Sant Narcís, Taialà and Vall de Sant Daniel. Some are made by professional gardeners, while others are the work of neighborhood associations and even students from schools and institutes.

El Teatro Victoria Eugenia (en euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) es un teatro situado en la ciudad de San Sebastián (España). Obra del arquitecto Francisco de Urcola, fue inaugurado en 1912. Ha sido escenario de importantes estrenos de zarzuela y de todas las ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián hasta 1999, en las que el teatro fue escenario de acontecimientos como los estrenos mundiales de las películas Vértigo y Con la muerte en los talones de Alfred Hitchcock. Entre los años 2001 y 2007 se llevó a cabo el más profundo proceso de reforma del teatro. A lo largo de su siglo de historia ha sido el epicentro de la vida cultural de la ciudad y se ha erigido en uno de los más activos e importantes teatros de España.
El Teatro Victoria Eugenia, de estilo neorrenacentista español y neoplateresco y cuya entrada principal está situada en el Paseo de la República Argentina, ocupa una superficie total de 2.400 m². Mientras que un gran número de edificios del siglo XIX en San Sebastián son de clara influencia francesa, el exterior del edificio está inspirado en el palacio de Monterrey de Salamanca. En la fachada principal hay cuatro bustos, correspondientes al Conde de Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide y Santesteban. Las fachadas del edificio son de piedra arenisca, material típico de las construcciones de la época en la ciudad.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater (in Euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) is a theater located in the city of San Sebastián (Spain). Work of the architect Francisco de Urcola, was inaugurated in 1912. It has been the scene of important releases of zarzuela and of all the editions of the San Sebastian International Film Festival until 1999, in which the theater was the scene of events such as the world premieres of the films Vertigo and With death on the heels of Alfred Hitchcock. Between 2001 and 2007 the deepest process of theater reform was carried out. Throughout its century of history it has been the epicenter of the cultural life of the city and has become one of the most active and important theaters in Spain.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater, of Neo-Renaissance Spanish and Neoplateresque style and whose main entrance is located on the Paseo de la República Argentina, occupies a total area of 2,400 m². While a large number of nineteenth-century buildings in San Sebastian are clearly influenced by France, the exterior of the building is inspired by the Monterrey Palace in Salamanca.On the main facade there are four busts, corresponding to the Count of Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide and Santesteban. The facades of the building are sandstone, typical material of the buildings of the time in the city.
