This photograph is a result of an experiment in low light photography. When I first looked at the photo, the colored 'blob' in the middle of the frame reminded me of ectoplasm.
Ectoplasm is a term first coined by 19th century spiritualists and was later popularized by the film 'Ghostbusters'. It is used to describe "spiritual energy" that has been "exteriorized" - that is, given visible or physical form.
To set the record straight, there is nothing supernatural about this blob - it was created by me walking in front of the camera while carrying a laptop. Nevertheless, it still makes a pretty picture and I hope you enjoy it.

I'm just a now walking around in the garden laughing. Then I sneak around the small house and look curious through the window. It's dark inside and only a ray of light shines through the small window and the reflections strike me as ectoplasm and I recognize this inviting decorative old ensemble and clock. I fall silent and for a moment it seems as if time has stood still and the room is just waiting to be visited.

Radiolarians are unicellulars of diameter 0.1–0.2 mm that produce intricate mineral skeletons, typically with a central capsule dividing the cell into the inner and outer portions of endoplasm and ectoplasm.The elaborate mineral skeleton is usually made of silica. They are found as zooplankton throughout the ocean, and their skeletal remains make up a large part of the cover of the ocean floor as siliceous ooze. Le spectre d'Alençon rôde partout. Parfois, ses traces ectoplasmiques remontent vers le Nord, vers Saint-Evroult-Notre-Dame-du-Bois, où il semble trouver un lieu de quiétude idéal pour saluer les mortels !
Qui aurait douté que ces ruines fussent hantées ?
Au crépuscule, lorsque le ciel se pare de violet et de magenta, devant l'Hôtel de Ville d'Alençon, apparaît le Spectre Pourpre !

My Super Isolette is perfect, it doesn't has any lightleaks.
This picture isn't photoshopped, the other picture's on the same roll do not have any abberations.
Now there is this cloud, having a form, coming from another room and going somewhere... to me a mystery unsolved.

con qualche banconota scivolata tra i bisbigli.

e folletti aspettano col fiato trattenuto
che abbia la decenza di dire le cose come stanno.
Mi accennano col mento i crateri di terra ancora smossa,
tiepida; mi fanno segno
in un coro d'ossicini bianchi
che bisogna scavare
per trovarne ancora vivi, mentre sulla statale
il semaforo giallo dell'incrocio nel suo accendi e spegni
mette voglia di dormire, di lasciare che finisca tutto
in niente.
In fondo, è solo un po' di nebbia
a far venire in mente certe idee
e già domani ungeranno le cerniere
perchè quel maledetto cigolio dell'altalena

Is this a face in the archway at Locke CA? You always catch these afterwards. Best if viewed large size to really "see" the face. The building next door was a movie theater at one time. I definitely had to go back several times to view this archway and always felt the hairs on my neck go up when I passed it!
엑토플라즘은 프랑스 생리학자 샤를 리셰(Charles Robert Richet 1850-1935)가 1894년 고안한 용어로, 영적인 존재가 나타날 때 발생한다는 물질을 말한다. 보통 하얀색인데 점성이 있고 흘러내리는 듯한 물질이라고 한다. 샤를 리셰는 그리스어로 '밖으로(Ektos) 꼴을 이룬 것(Plasma)'이라는 뜻으로 조어하였다. 유령 등이 자신의 임시 형상으로 자연스레 생성되거나, 혹은 무당의 눈, 코, 입, 귀, 성기…? 등 신체의 구멍에서 흘러나온다고 한다.
엑토플라즘이 자주 회자되던 시절은 19-20세기 교령회(seance), 혹은 강령회라는 모임이 서구사회에 한창 유행하였을 때였다. 이때 야광 물질을 사용하거나 밀가루 등의 하얀 물질로 만든 사기 엑토플라즘도 여럿 나왔다. 육안으로 확인되는 경우도 있지만, 사진기로만 잡히는 경우도 많아 이것을 찍은 사진도 여럿 존재한다. 그냥 휴지처럼 보인다 몇 안되는 물적인 증거[1]인지라 이것을 토대로 영의 존재를 과학적으로 증명해 보려는 사람들도 있다. 그래봤자 신빙성이 높지 않은 도시전설 정도. 20세기 초 교령회 등에서 찍었다는 엑토플라즘 배출 장면 사진이 꽤 있으나, 일부는 지금 그냥 봐도 조악한 합성사진이고, 현대의 사진 분석으로 가짜라고 밝혀진 것이 대부분이다. 하지만 옛날 흑백 사진이라 조작 여부를 판별할 수 없는 경우도 있다.
