Many of my followers and fellow photographers will recognize this spot. In September 2022, the Great Northern Line 502 was launched as a new brand for the Halifax to Keighley service. One of two refurbished Volvo B7RLEs were now part of the pink Team Pennine operation. 1715 DX12OWB was working the first Monday of the service and it was photographed here at this spot. (it is in the 2022 September selection on Flickr).
Here KBC 1035 is depicted working the 67 on Halifax Road, about to approach the village of Denholme. The 67 and the 502 share the same route, via Cullingworth and Denholme, before the 67 turns towards Thornton near Bradford. 1035 was seen just before the New Road stop which is timed from around six minutes passed the hour, during the day.

MB21BUS made its debut with Harrogate in 2021, working the number 1s on the Knaresborough corridor. The eCitaro made several returns to Harrogate and Keighley during the following years. The ZEBRA orders were placed as Harrogate ordered 20 and Keighley ordered 15 eCitaro single deckers. In 2024 MB21BUS became 93 in the fleet while BF24AHC became 94 in the Harrogate fleet, both were in service in November 2024. As the new eCitaros 1001-20 entered service, BF24AHC would be moved away for a short time. It returned to join MB21BUS, in Harrogate, both buses were to be eventually offered to Transdev, during October 2025, they became 1036 (MB21BUS) and 1037 (BF24AHC) by November 2025, the silver demo bus was dispatched to be repainted into the Harrogate red livery. BF24AHC has retained the grey demo livery, but with branding similar to Hybrid Citaros 1513-1516.
1036 is seen on diversion, as Yorkshire Water have closed some roads along the route of the number 2, buses diverting onto Tennyson Avenue and the from Hill Top Avenue turning right into Crab Lane, as seen here. At the time Knox Avenue was closed and the buses would be able to go down the diversion route.
As of November 2025, The Keighley Bus Company is actively rolling out a new fleet of zero-emission electric buses, which are in the process of completely replacing the older fleet, including the 2005 blue-branded "Shuttle" buses.
On Saturday 15th November 2025, TKBC bus no. 1028 was seen operating Route 662 to Keighley via Shipley and Bingley.

Ever since Transdev The Harrogate Bus Company were awarded the ZEBRA funding for the thirty-nine new electric fleet, in 2024. Keighley were also awarded the same ZEBRA funding for fifteen new electric single deckers, for the Shuttle 662. This service which runs between Keighley and Bradford, via Frizinghall, Saltaire and Bingley. since the Keighley-West Yorkshire days. Gone are the NBC standard Leyland Nationals, Bristol VRTs and Leyland Olympians. These were ousted by new Volvo B10Bs and the B10BLEs with Wrightbus bodywork. With Blazefield branding for the Airedale Shuttle, with large route numbers and key points along the route. 2005 saw a major investment with the arrival of fifteen new Volvo B7RLEs 1801-15. A brand new white, red with blue and chrome relief lines and branding. By 2010, 1801-14 gained the new butterscotch and blue livery with new branding. However during 2015, these Volvos, which were now ten years of age, underwent a major overhaul and total refurbishment for a new look to the Shuttle. A two tone blue livery, with white branding, rear end slogans and names from space missions and Shuttle names used in the space race. Along with the odd planet too, these were launch officially in November 2015.
Now some twenty years into life, 1801-14 have or almost reached the end of the road, time expired and gaining one way tickets to the Barnsley yards. To make way for the electric generation, as the new Mercedes-Benz eCitaro's began to enter service on November 6th 2025. 1022 followed by 1021 arrived to fly passengers through to Bradford, om a bright and mild November Thursday. Here 1021 is depicted near Bingley, at Beckfoot Lane in the new Keighley bright green livery, with KBC fleetnames. At the time of writing 1021-3 are at Keithley, with the others stored or making there way across to Keighley. It will be interesting if the Shuttle brand name will continue of other batch members, or will it just be the Keighley Bus Company name.
Mercedes Benz eCitaro Demonstrator MB21BUS passes along St Aldate's at Speedwell Street this afternoon. Having a look at the tracking data, it seems this only came out to play on Monday (open to correction!) and has been on the 11X hence forth

It's lovely to see these electric cruisers in service in on UK roads.
1007 (BV74 NFC) is one of a batch of twenty, with more due for the group later this year for service on 'the shuttle' 662 from Keighley to Bradford. It's seen arriving into Harrogate on a 1C.

Am 23.11.2023 erhielt die RNV den Weltweit ersten eCitaro Fuel Cell Serienfahrzeug.
Im Jahr 2024 wurde dann in Mannheim und Heidelberg der testbetrieb gestartet. Nach einer erfolgreichen absolvierung dieses Testbetriebes gingen die Wasserstoff Busse in den Linienverkehr über. Bis mitte 2025 sollen dann alle 45 eCitaro G Fuel Cell ausgeliefert sein

A surprise turn at 09:10 was a new Mercedes Benz eCitaro 1012, working the 7 service to Leeds via Wetherby. 1012 had already found a little fame and interest, being the first new Mercedes into service on November 18th.
Here the bus is seen arriving at Wetherby, having completed a full round trip. With the Wetherby to Harrogate section to finish. The next trip out was the 13:10, which was supposed to be 1012. However, in a drama style twist, it was instead placed on the 13:15 departure on the 24 to Pateley Bridge.
