Echo DeLong, 43 died in a single vehicle collision on a gravel road. Her car was eastbound when it apparently skidded to the right side of the road, over corrected and rolled off the left side. It came to rest on its top in an irrigation canal. the vehicle’s speed on the gravel road was a factor. DeLong was not wearing a seat belt.
This spray of purple flowers on a fence pole at the location of the accident was placed by Echo's family or friends in Her memory.
We stopped in Echo, because one of the guide magazines said it had 10 structures on the National Register of Historic Places. The church was the only one that really interested me.
Echo Park originally built in the 1860s as a reservoir. Today Echo Park Lake is a Los Angeles icon providing recreational benefits and wildlife habitat.

It's hard to believe that Echo is now 9 1/2 years old. Especially watching her leaping into the ocean... No salmon today but the dogs had a great time.
The week before last we visited my good friends, John and Jenette. When John and Jenette's flat-coat died, they missed Maggie terrible!!! So Echo went on loan to fill the very big gap and get John through hunting season until their new puppy Grace (Echo's grand daughter) was born....Then Echo stayed a little longer so she could train little Grace how to be a well behaved flat-coat....Echo is still on loan and little Grace is now two.
From the excitement sparked by the wearables and new apps, 2016 was a whirlwind year for mobile devices. 2017 is bringing us more new developments! Here are a few things we think are worth looking out for this year.
1. Google’s mobile-first index
Most of Google queries are now executed on mobile devices. It’s no surprise that Google is developing mobile-first index. The integral shift principally considers content from mobile pages ahead of desktop pages. Google’s algorithms will eventually use a site’s mobile version to rank pages and to show snippets from those pages in Google results. What happens next depends on the build of your website. Google assures that if your site is a responsive or a dynamic serving site that nothing should change regarding your indexing as the mark-up remains consistent across mobile and desktop. For sites that are not responsive or dynamic, however, it is important to implement a mobile-friendly design with a mobile-first strategy to improve your mobile presence and keep your content discoverable.
2. Apps in the growing device ecosystem
The idea behind “cross-device” is that a more holistic view of a user is gained by associating multiple devices to one individual by tracking their activity. Understanding the behavior patterns create a more seamless online experience across all devices. The considerable development in interface modalities such as augmented/mixed reality and voice command together with hardware releases like Google Home and Amazon Echo connecting to domestic smart objects enrich the way we utilize our mobile devices. With our devices’ growing ecosystem, it’s a no-brainer that mobile will remain at the center of the action. Technologies such as Personal Assistants, wearables, and bigger devices such as TVs, function through mobile apps. This gives apps a whole new meaning and change the way marketers deal with apps, too.
3. Rich push notifications
With the launch of iOS 10 in September of 2016, rich push notifications have been introduced. Push notifications can now include images, GIFs, and videos and will be visible from the homescreen. Also, users can 3D touch the notification to view and click custom actions, all without even opening the app. The new feature opens a new set of possibilities for MCRM (Mobile Customer Relationship Management) and content strategies. This year we expect to see much more of these types of notification as MCRM tools rollout its capabilities, while marketers begin to shape their strategies.

Dog watching last weekend was lots of fun. I found a doggie that will actually look the camera in the eye! Northern Colorado, April 2007.
