Echo Lake, looking vaguely in the direction of Mt. Evans (one of those might be Mt. Evans, but I can't pick it out. The last rocky bit all the way to the left, I think).

If you look closely, the oblique angle of the flash illumination reveals the stomatal pores of the needle. These show up as regular white dots. Had no idea until I processed the image.

On Observation Point Trail, Zion Canyon, UT

It's hard to believe that Echo is now 9 1/2 years old. Especially watching her leaping into the ocean... No salmon today but the dogs had a great time.

The week before last we visited my good friends, John and Jenette. When John and Jenette's flat-coat died, they missed Maggie terrible!!! So Echo went on loan to fill the very big gap and get John through hunting season until their new puppy Grace (Echo's grand daughter) was born....Then Echo stayed a little longer so she could train little Grace how to be a well behaved flat-coat....Echo is still on loan and little Grace is now two.
